They wore the road black for all road games except they wore the purple one on the road against the Avs. This is a little off topic, but does anyone know how the LA kings wore their Purple Alts for game 7 in the 2001 nhl playoffs? They wore the road black for all road games except they wore the purple one on the road against the Avs.I've got three possibilities for ya:1. The equipment manager hung the purple ones up in their lockers and the unknowingly put them on and because they had special contact lenses, they (players, coaches, management) never knew. 2. Secretly the players changed to the purples right before the game. 3. The rule of one colored jersey for the entire playoffs wasn't a rule then.Okay, the first two answers entertained me, and that's what counts in my mind!
