Bleujayone Posted September 22, 2006 Share Posted September 22, 2006 I'm helping someone with a documentary shoot involving the interviewing of New York Mets fans living in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). I was wondering if anyone in here might be able to point me in any direction.I have NO idea why they picked the Mets and not say the Yankees, but they are looking for people who are former New York/Americans citizens living in the Greater Toronto Area who are still New York Mets fans, I'm guessing for the 20th anniversary of their 1986 World Series championship. It's rather a hard search considering that 1) It's Toronto, CANADA 2) It's an American League town, 3) You're more likely to find ex-patriots who are Red Sox and Yankees fans here than Mets fans. I mentioned that I knew half a dozen New Englanders/ BoSox fans in the area who would be all too willing to mention our hatred of the '86 Mets- but I guess they don't want that for now.Anyway- can anyone in here offer any help? I can ask around to see if my friends know anyone who is from NY and is a Mets fan, but I can't be certain I'll find any, but at least I'll give it a shot. Good luck man. A few quick questions...Have you ever lived in the States and moved back or have you always lived in Canada?Have you ever seen the Mets play at either Sky Dome or Shea Stadium?Why do you folow the Mets and another team?Would you be interested in saying a few words about it on a camera?
