In my perfect world, I'd go with 2 weeks providing the weekend before the Super Bowl, the college national championship game is played (participants determined by a playoff system). I can dream can't I?

I was thinking that a perfect post season schedule for the NFL would be

week 1- Loserbowl- 31st and 32nd rank teams playoff winners get 1st overall pick in the draft.

week 2- wildcard round

week 3- divisional playoff round

week 4- conference championships

week 5- pro bowl

week 6- Superbowl.

The only problem would be that those not in the wildcard would have a 2 week layoff after the regular season, which may turn into a big disadvantage, one week is okay, but 2 gives you plenty of time to get  a bit rusty I would have thoguht.

Well I think eventually the NFL will go to 8 playoff teams with no body getting a byew week. So if taht happens then a week off will beneift everyone there.
