Here's an idea I had for a new logo for the Atlanta Braves.

I understand what you were trying to do here, but it just doesn't work for me. Here's why.

1. The Brave's motif has always been the tomahawk, not a spear. I don't like that.

2. The A and the L look good, but the T is awkward looking. I do like the idea of an "ATL" logo for the Braves though.

3. Colors look off. Use the Braves colors: brighter red and I think a little bit brighter blue.

4. Florida State?

It's a good try, but I don't think it works.

Uh... It's a good first try. I think the general design works okay, but not for the Braves. elliott did a pretty good job telling you why. It just doesn't feel right for that team.

Another thing about the spear - pointing it down is probably a bad idea. There's a reason the Redskins had theirs angling up.

The Braves are one of the teams I root for, and though this is a good concept, I say no. Again, it's a good concept, but with all the history of the current script and the Tomahawk theyve had since thier days in Boston, I dont think that this would be the right move.
