Very few teams can pull off the plain shield/mark on one side of the chest, and the Royals have some of the best wordmarks in baseball, so why get rid of them?I don't think the change to the R caps are an upgrade either, and going completely pipingless makes them look like generic stuff you'd see sold for $15 outside the stadium.
