Brian in Boston
FC Zenit St. Petersburg downed Rangers FC 2-0.Igor Denisov and Konstantin Zyrianov scored FC Zenit's goals in the second half. That said, I was particularly impressed with the play of Andrei Arvashin and Anatoliy Tymoschuk. In spite of Pave Pogrebynak's suspension, Zenit takes home Russia's second UEFA Cup in four years. Well done.

DEAD!
I was wonder what the deal was with Zenit wearing white jerseys in the game, but wearing gold "jerseys" for the trophy presentation. I saw, I came, I left.
heernumurr
Rangers were just not good enough. When your Plan A is to hope that you don't concede, you don't really deserve to win. They barely had a decent attacking move, and were generally just outplayed.
