EJ_Barlik
Does anybody know a way to turn the "my favorites" website list on my hard drive into a webpage? My idea is to create a page on a website where the content is driven from the user's own PC.I wanted to code the link as "c:\Documents And Settings\Owner\Favorites\". This seems to work on my local machine but not when I post to the web....I welcome any insights. Thanks! 5-time Defending NL East Champions
pollux
Care to share what you've done or tried so far? I don't think it would be possible using just HTML... Geoff
That link coding is going to get you what ever is on the particular computer you are viewing from. The best thing I can think of is to write an HTML page with all the links and post it to the net rather than trying to link onto your computer (which might not be the best idea if it is possible du to hackers). Trying to code 60+ links takes a lot of time and effort for something that already works correctly for IE & I suppose Firefox also. And the very point of making it link to c: is that hackers wouldn't be going any where except their own PC in the first place.....Got 2 be a way..... 5-time Defending NL East Champions
