Now that the Mets are moving into CitiField

I think we're all assuming that the Mets would naturally turn back the clock a little bit on their visual identity as they move into a new retro-styled ballpark. However, the Mets looked at 2007-2008 and gave Omar Minaya a four-year extension, so it's hardly a foregone conclusion that they'll do anything right re: uniforms here.

The obvious element that someone previously made mention of is something that one would think the Mets administration would already know and be aware of.

The script Mets word mark on the pins, particularly when they wear the two tone hat with that look, is so muddied and so flawed...you would think someone at CitiFiled would have noticed this already.

Extending Minaya means nothing as far as the uniforms are concerned. They've had black far longer than he's been around. And, in all honesty, these last couple seasons, with him being there, it almost seemed as if they wore the blue caps and pinstripes a little more than they had before.
