fkaKrock5cent Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Heres the logo it's selfAn article in the local paper mentioned that the logo will be used as a patch for the jerseys this upcoming season.I love this logo to be honest. The archway that says "Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium" is a nice nod to the entrance to the stadium where the midshipmen march onto the field before every home game. The five jets flying over top the archway look to be similar to the Blue Angles, an Annapolis favorite. Thoughts?
MJWalker45 Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Looks good. Will look even better if Navy keeps a home version of the jerseys they debuted for Army/Navy game.
gordie_delini Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 yep those would certainly be silhouettes of the F/A-18 Hornet, but they look more like the E/F model currently being flown in combat more than the A model being flown by the Blue Angels. Interesting that they chose to leave out the missile mount on the edge of the wing.
fkaKrock5cent Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 Will look even better if Navy keeps a home version of the jerseys they debuted for Army/Navy game. There's been a lot debate around that. I think that it will be the same template however it won't have the colored shoulders but I haven't herd anything legit yet. And Gordie, I have no clue why they left off the missile mounts. Maybe they thought the jets would be so small no one would notice.
