totc Posted April 25, 2009 Share Posted April 25, 2009 I'll post stuff when I get the motivation.The Albuquerque Isotopes will have an Albuquerque Dukes retro night on July 21st (presumably, they'll be back in the old uniforms).Also, the Topes will be wearing a special pink jersey for breast cancer awareness on August 28th.The West Michigan Whitecaps will have three special jerseys this year: one for autism, one for breast cancer, one for prostate cancer awareness:The Altoona Curve will have a throwback-type uniform for May 3 up for auction:I don't know what the AC logo was for, since the city had baseball for one year between 1912 (when the Rams left) and 1996 (when the Rail Kings played in the North Atlantic League. The team, playing in 1931, were known as the Altoona Engineers, Jeannette Jays, and the Beaver Falls Beavers. Was this a team forced to move, like the New York Stars of the WFL? I can't find a photo, but they were displayed on ESPN because Manny Ramirez was doing his rehab assignment. Look at the background here: (http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/88722177/Getty-Images-Sport)Lake Elsinore hosts the Class A All-Star Game, and, in a move reminiscent of the Home Run Derby jerseys at the All-Star Game, have special "CAROLINA" and "CALIFORNIA" jerseys based on the design and colors of the host Storm.
