San Francisco Giants Primary Logo (1994-1999): Two Different Versions?

I just noticed that the main site has a different version of the San Francisco Giants' primary logo from (1994-1999) than I have. Mine is from an official 1999 file, so I'm confident that it is correct, but I was wondering if the version Chris has was also correct at a different time - say, prior to 1999. Does anyone have any insight in regards to this issue? Here are the logos in question...first, the one from the main site:
