ColeJ Posted January 18, 2011 Share Posted January 18, 2011 i still think it's more an issue with the way the sport is taught than it is equipment...players need to stop using their helmets as weapons and learn to wrap-up-and-drag-down instead of spear themselves skull to skull like rams.maybe a lack of helmets all together would train the players to respect their own brains and those of the opposition... but since that isn't going to happen, i guess we should just keep trying to lesson the likelihood of these helmet-to-helmet missiles actually damaging brains. It's a teaching problem too. I think that the new generation of football players is going to do a better job with not using their head as a weapon since that's all they've been coached to do.
