Some huge upsets this week

That's an understatement :P What was biggest upset?

Too bad that NRL fantasy rugby league folded here on the board...an NRL and Super Rugby fantasy leagues are needed on here in my opinion

That NRL Live Stream last year got me hooked. Too bad it isn't available in America for this season.

Wiziwig.tv is a my go-to live streaming site, but the appeal of the NRL on livestream.com last year was the ability to play archived matches from the night before. Wiziwig.tv can let you watch every sports game going on in the world, but only while the game is being played. That Sri Lanka vs. Bangladesh match at 4am is only going to be available at 4am...

In the NRL, I was partial to the Parramatta Eels, Penrith Panthers, and Canberra Raiders, but I think the only real question for determining NRL fandom is whether one supports the Roosters or Rabbitohs (...and everybody picks the Rabbitohs).

Go Rabbitohs.

Melbourne Storm are playing Newcastle Knights, so obviously NRL newcomers/new fans are rooting for Melbourne.

My prediction: in the impending argument about which NRL teams are better than others according to relatively new NRL fans, nobody will come to support or defend the North Queensland Cowboys. Yegh.

Agreed more people support the Rabbitohs than the Roosters.

But what a match by the Panthers this past weekend...ran rampant! I normally watch all my NRL, Super Ruby, Aviva Premiership Rugby, Super League Rugby on Rogers Sportsnet World and wiziwig.tv

Yeah, and some teams have already dug a huge ditch to get out of (Sharks). I know every team still has 21 games left, so it's anybody's guess who the other 4 will be. Being that the four powerhouses right now are the Roosters, Rabbitohs, Storm, and Sea Eagles. If the Dragons, Tigers, and Panthers can keep up their ways, they can be a threat down the road.

I can actually see the Panthers get into the top four with problems. If they use this past weekend as a precursor and stepping stone they can move up the ladder. The Roosters, Rabbitohs, Sea Eagles are always favorites each year but NRL is getting more competitive each passing year.

I watched that match last night and I couldn't believe how bad they played in the first half. No defensive tactics what so ever. They started to pull it back in the second half but it was too late because of the big lead by the Raiders. Here's hoping the Bunnies can turn it around starting round 5

The Eels had a surprising good match. But for the Bulldogs, from this whole first four rounds of NRL I didn't see that type of defense played by them and was surprised to see it. But in the end, the season is still early (R5), anything can happen...love the NRL
