Best way to make a font?

just wondering the pest way to do it. I have Photoshop and Illustrator, I dont want to spend big bucks, and i have a macbook pro. What's my best option?

You're going to want to create vectors first. I use High Logic's Font Creator to convert vectors into a typeface. Not a quick process by any means, but the more attention to detail, the better the product.

It depends on the process. If you're looking to make a custom font for sale/distribution, you're probably going to want to go DrDoug's route and fork out a little cash for a font creation program. However, if you're looking to make a font for a one-off logo, I'd say: just use Illustrator and make only what you need, letter-wise

It's not very good but FontStruct is free. Are you asking this because of the competition?

it reminded me i needed to ask ive been wanting to learn for ages
