BaltimoreFan
What is that thing on the side of the field around the 50 yard line supposed to be? I've been wondering all year.
dfwabel
It is supposed to be a side view of Gillette Stadium (or just a poor logo). The NFL does not allow corporate names on the playing field, so they cannot put "Gillette" on the 50.

RedSoxMLB14
The stadium logo designs features the prominent features of the stadium which is the signature 12-story high lighthouse attached to a pedestrian bridge.According to the Patriots website, "the seafaring theme is designed to represent the coastal heritage of New England. The lighthouse is functional by casting beams of light into the night sky, serving as a beacon for approaching fans."
Survival79
You can see the lighthouse and pedestrian bridge in the upper left: "If things have gone wrong, I'm talking to myself, and you've got a wet towel wrapped around your head."
