I guess the PA received some concerns when the Mullett Arena situation was first announced, but they were willing to tolerate it as a stopgap measure while the team worked out the permanent rink deal. Now that Tempe has fallen through he expects the PA to express a lot more concern. 
 

I’m sure the players would generally be opposed to any franchise relocations, but in this case it’s the uncertainty surrounding the team that would be a concern for them. 

Also not to be lost is that the PA is now lead by former Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh, who actually met with the Coyotes as one of his first actions. I would easily see this as his first crusade.

I almost think at this point that they're delaying a move a year just because they have a lease and as a favor to Fanatics so they're not having to screen print a bunch of cowboy hats on the kachinas at the last minute in their first year.

I mean, come now, anyone advocating for the team moving back to the arena that was inadequate two decades ago and hasn't fixed anything has been breaking into Bettman's liquor cabinet.  And this when the last ditch plan just went up in flames.

The irony that Bettman’s pet project doesn’t even have its current logo used on the league’s official news story.
