You're right. So it's a duck foot with a duck bill shoved into it. Quack quack quack, Mr. Ducksworth.Isn't that a duck foot made into an A?
Hey, whatever gets them out of the sports branding business.Great name. The logo is another in a long line of the Brandiose "universe" characters. Someday, Brandiose is going to put out a comic book.

Look at that fourth one and just process it for a bit. It's a duck. But it's an angry duck, so we have to make the duck snarl, so we better give it teeth. The snarling-toothed duck isn't extreme enough, so let's have some flames coming off of his head. It's not just a duck, though, it's a RubberDuck, so let's give him wings made out of tire treads. Did I say wings? Because I meant arms. Everyone knows that RubberDucks have arms, because how else could a duck have fists? You know, the fists for the fighting and the toughness and the extremeness to go with the teeth and the snarling and the head flames.
Even the people behind Poochie are yelling "Whoa, hey, pump the brakes!" about three steps into this identity. And I haven't even addressed shoving a duck bill into the taint of the "A" in logo #2.

And on another level, Reebok brought the NHL counterfeiting problem on itself by outsourcing production to Asia to save on costs while silmultaneously boosting prices. I don't think it's mere coincidence that NHL bootlegs started flooding the market right around the same time Reebok moved production of jerseys fairly close to the global epicenter of counterfeit goods.

I've encountered one "virtually real" fake, and I bought it. It wasn't so "virtually real" after I washed it.
-
It also explains why many of Brandiose's recent releases can be described as "abortions".

That's awful.
Will the games even be in English?
No, and they're going to make sure the mascot is here illegally. Jesus Christ.

But you could always put your money into credit default swaps.
Never let it be said that an unsuccessful market can't sometimes be very useful. That doesn't make it any less an unsuccessful market. It is a successful market, though, in that it does what the owners want it to do (line their pockets with arena revenue), and it provides benefit to the league owners collectively (by keeping player costs down).
I can write off some stock losses on my taxes. That doesn't mean I deliberately look for stocks that are going to tank.

You may not like it, I may not like it, but there really isn't any motivation to change from the current arrangement for those who could directly affect it.

It is. $7/game, and the package includes free parking and a free replica jersey.
Sunrise Sports & Entertainment doesn't have to make money on the Panthers, since their lease deal with Broward County is such a cash cow. But they do need to keep the Panthers to keep that lease deal (with 15 years left on it), so this is the end result. As an added bonus, SS&E can bleed red ink all over the hockey team, artificially keeping down Hockey-Related Revenue and, as a result, slowing the growth of player salaries.
The Panthers are awful, and the rest of the league wouldn't have it any other way.

Looking for documentation and confirmation, but a report on Twitter says Vinny "The Lead Pipe" Viola has an estimated net worth of $35 million.
-
Completely Reputable New Jersey Businessman Vinnie Viola should be just the tonic for this organization!

You know the jerseys are fake. What would make you think the autographs are real?
-
When suckers will buy, why bother to try?

I loved the '90s IHL as much as anyone. No.

Better picture of the new Colisee, with a sliver of the old Colisee to the far right. I like the towers in the corners.
With those towers if they ever get a NHL team they must be called Le CItadel de Quebec
It has been done, you know:
http://www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/561/Quebec_Citadelles/
And yes, there's no way the new team, wherever it comes from, won't be the Nordiques. But I do prefer the idea of an NHL with the Moose & Citadelles in it to one with the Jets & Nords.

That's gonna be the finest junior arena in all of Canada.

Are the rented bleachers still there, or is it just the diamond, backstop, fencing, and light poles? I was tempted to pull off and have a gander when I was driving up to Milwaukee a couple weeks ago.
-
This specifically reminds me of the Lake County Fielders, who attempted to charge $5 for parking on a horrid lot made of crushed-up asphalt trucked in from a demolished parking lot elsewhere. Everybody just parked at the church a block down from the ballpark and walked.
Except, in this case, the free parking will be closer to the stadium than the paid spots.
-
"Hey," everyone said, "how are the Coyotes going to charge for parking when their lot is part of a large shopping complex?"
The best part is the Cardinals considering undercutting the Yotes on parking prices, because the part of the lot they control is actually closer to the hockey arena than the hockey team's spaces are. 2018 never felt so close.

Looks legit to me.http://customthrowbackjerseys.com/?fullSite=1 legit site? Cause if it is I neeeeeeeed a Mighty Ducks JS Giguere jersey

I can guarantee at least one will by 2015.

"Run the hockey team at a loss and make money hand-over-fist on other events, or leave town and pay penalties up the wazoo", more or less.Let's hope they get the Panthers or the Winter Olympics. What's the Panthers' lease anyways?
Yormark wants to build a casino next to the Your Sponsorship Here Arena. Panthers aren't going anywhere, even if they draw 10,000 night and even less than that on TV.

Even when the team is good, White Sox games are unwatchable for me. I know some people eat that crap up, but they're getting fewer and dumber and older and poorer with each passing season, so maybe that shouldn't be a business' core target demo. Ed Farmer is tolerable on the radio side, but then Darrin Jackson starts talking for a stretch and whoopsies there goes my car into a utility pole again.
