If they trotted Hulsizer and Jamison ("I have plenty of investors." "Oh, you do? Who are they?" "No.") before the City Council, but declined to do the same for Pastor, either his financials were astoundingly laughable, or there's been a change in the endgame at the NHL offices.

There was a story earlier this week on AZCentral about Gosbee and the former Ice Edgers having put up $240 million for the $170 million purchase. But that story also mentioned the postponement of their presentation to the Glendale City Council, so I dunno. At this point in the saga, I'll only believe something is happening when something actually happens.
George Fallar tried chirping me about the Presidents' Trophy Curse a couple weeks ago. Dumber than advertised.

Yep, just as good as the real deal
Making a counterfeit of a jersey the team wore in warmups to auction off for cancer charities. Yay, it's a new low!

Tonight's Coyotes game is being broadcast on Money Radio 1510 AM. Put it on a tee for me, why don't ya.

Finally, Phoenix gets its own JB Smith.
Remember how a bunch of random fools showed up near the end saying they wanted to buy the Thrashers? For that matter, remember how the Thrashers fell apart in February of that year, and how we later found out that was when several players learned the move to Winnipeg was a lock? Yeah, the Yotes just got off a 6-game skid.

George Gosbee is the newest potential savior.
And I'll take Rose Marie to block, Peter.
Seriously, what intelligent Canadian businessman wouldn't buy a hockey team to keep it in Arizona when it was on the verge of moving to Canada?
-
Anything coming from Darren Dreger regarding league operations may as well come from the league's press office. Bill Daly's probably scrubbing Dreger's breakfast off his hand right now.
This is the last, desperate gasp.
We really should have a party if they finally bite it.
-
Well, you see, now we just get Chris Hansen to buy the Bucks instead, move them to Seattle, shove the Coyotes up Northwest, put NHL 31 and 32 in Milwaukee & Quebec City, and kick Detroit back west into a division with the Blackhawks & Blues. Simple as that!
Hey, anybody got any more nutmeg?

Cross-referencing this from the Sacramento Kings thread, because it looks like the Kings are staying put, which would eliminate Seattle as a destination for the Coyotes.

I think we can add Phil Anschutz to the list of "NHL Owners No Longer Interested In Owning The Phoenix Coyotes". I know the Kings are internet-cheeky, and I understand the disclaimer at the top of the post, but holy crap, this is on the official website of an NHL team.

^ Gary Bettman is Commissioner of the NHL. Any American city with a guy who says he might be interested will take precedent to a Canadian city with a complete ownership group, arena plans, season tickets sold and uniforms already manufactured.
Winnipeg.

Oh man, I've been looking for a place where I can get an Andrew Ladd St. John's Icecaps jersey!
-
But, at the same time Detroit doesn't want to be in the Western Conference. That was one of the hang ups for the realignment in the first place.

Awwwww Skeete Skeete Skeete
-
I'd love to see that happen, since the A operates as two distinct leagues up until the final, anyway. Give the Midwest back a real IHL, and let the Northeasters get their precious short-trip bus league back.
-
Any site that uses Kari Lehtonen - in a Thrashers uniform - for its NHL splash image is probably suspect.

That's a clown question, bro.

Where would you rank it, as far as national mass-market fast food goes? I mean, Burger King is just the worst, McDonald's is pretty decent, Wendy's is fairly good, and White Castle is kind of a special case unto itself.
Side note: I got Subway for lunch today, because my mom gave us a couple of $5 gift cards as stocking stuffers. I had a bite of roast beef that tasted vaguely of fish, which differed from all the others that just tasted of unspecified animal protein. God, that place is a sandwich atrocity.
-
I could go for some Hardee's, but only because there's none anywhere near here, save for one on the Indiana Toll Road. Totally the novelty/scarcity factor. I bet if I went out and got some, though, it would be just awful.
-
It's also possible his stash of Isles jerseys comes from NHL Shop's one-day $13 glitch last season.

Looks like some enterprising soul is aiming to make money off of a CCSLC concept again.

A classic thread. Poke around and notice how things have and haven't changed. There were more pro-Coyotes people in May 2009 than there are now.
Oh, man. good times.
There was a minor league hockey tema called the roadrunners before the coyotes came. There are passionate hockey fans in Phoenix. Losing seasons in such a bangwagon town does that.
Good Lord, how did I miss that the first time around?
The NHL will still find a way to screw this up. Why let a guy with real money into the league when they can keep bleeding debt in the desert. right?
Lamicus, you've done it again!

Assuming the numbers discussed here are in actual dollars and not Greg Jamison Leprechaun Gold, boy, does this ever indicate an eastward journey.
