  5. I disagree. The lack of scarlet with the exception of the helmet decals and shoes really bothers me. Also, the digi camo/fur pattern just makes no sense to me for a team nicknamed "Buckeyes."
  6. No doubt. I’m a sucker for the lighter, more vibrant color shades in athletics. St. Paul’s has a great look.
  7. I think you're right after looking at it again....definitely throwing a football.
  8. The Falcons logo is the first one that I think could be considered as a "miss" here. It almost looks as though the girl is wearing some sort of native American headdress. But, I'm honestly stumped as to what else could be done for something like this. I can see why it's one of the ones left to the end of the series.
  9. Down here in Louisiana, all of the 9 state championship football games (yeah, you heard that right, 9 for a state with a pretty small population ~4 million) are in the Superdome in New Orleans. It's been the host since the early 1980's and is tied in with the Allstate Sugar Bowl now. They take place over 2 weekends in early December. Prior to the public/private split for the playoffs only (don't get me started), The 5 state championship games were all held in a single weekend (Friday, Saturday).
  10. Looks to me that it's illustrating a heel click....But I could be wrong.
  11. One-off uniforms are fine. They're fun for the fans and players (typically) and usually generate some nice merchandise. But the unis should at least be tasteful.
  12. Not bad, but what's with all that crap on the shoulders, sleeves and sides of the shorts? Why can't that just be white?
  13. Yeah, it may be more recognizable to B1G fans. I'm a HUGE college football buff and logo geek....but I wouldn't have been able to place that striping decal as the gopher tail. Then again, Minnesota doesn't get much exposure down here in south Louisiana either.
  14. True....but I wouldn't say that those stripes are "Instantly recognizable to most intimate CFB fans."
  15. I understand it has local significance. But that doesn't change the fact that it looks out of place and forced. The knight is a great logo. I stand by my initial assessment that, from a purely aesthetic point of view, it looks awkward.
  16. Here are some New Orleans area shots from last week: Edna Karr Cougars (white) @ St. Paul's Wolves (blue) Franklinton Demons (white) @ Covington Lions (blue) Northshore Panthers (white) @ Zachary Broncos (black) John Curtis Patriots (white) @ Landry-Walker Chargin' Buccaneers (black) McDonogh #35 Roneagles (white) @ St. Augustine Purple Knights (purple) Warren Easton Eagles (white) @ Jesuit Blue Jays (blue)
  17. Also Penguins....so, like Sidney Crosby, Mario Lemieux, Jaromir Jagr...
  18. I took the pose to be her holding on to her skirt as she high-steps.
  19. Pretty hideous, IMO, which is to be expected. But why wouldn't you throw a gold logo on the helmets?
