Every clip in the video has block numbers, but the uniform has roman-style numbers. Is this based on an actual uniform or is a "throwback-style" uniform?

Also doesn't seem like they ever wore that logo on a black helmet before, so definitely more of a fauxback.

I'm imagining if Red Wolf was a fan of the Razorbacks he'd be an Arkansas version of you rn 😄 given that the Huskers seem to embarrass themselves at a similar rate to Arkansas nowadays.  Scratch that, the Huskers aren't that much of an embarrassment yet, they're closer to Tennessee-level humiliation.

Unfortunately, the age of Arkansas embarrassment may be over. It was a really good run, but we'll never again reach the highs of watching the legendary Chad Morris putting in work.

IIRC they acknowledged that was their plan in the long term, but that they couldn’t get an updated set so quickly. It was quicker and easier to update the helmet for now.

I know they updated the helmet last year, so I assumed they would have gotten it sorted this year. Oh well.

Illinois’ helmet, with the white trim and face mask, doesn’t work with the rest of the uniform, which has no white anywhere.

They should really update the pants and jerseys to be more in line with the helmets. Would really improve their look.

we took the kings from kanasas city and now we took the open cup.

I really hope Sacramento wins it all. Sporting is absolutely rotten right now and needs a total refresh. Orlando will certainly be a tougher challenge.

If nothing else, the visual on ESPN+ of seeing the state fair lit up in the background was really cool. I hate that Sacramento isn't going to be in MLS. They clearly have the fan support, but you know.

Perhaps like the 2023 MLB All Star logo, I'm assuming the hexagon shape of the Fiesta Bowl logo represents the six states of the southwest: Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, plus Wyoming, Idaho, or Montana.

I’m no mathematical genius, but didn’t you just name eight states?

Well obviously they're talking about the initial list of states before writing "plus." Which adds up to five states.

Their grey facemask now looks soooo out of place without the gray pants.

To add, these road unis were easily the NY Giants' best set.

Now that's a hell of a uniform matchup. We'll never see it again for what I would argue are very good reasons, but damn.

  8. Nevada's shade of silver that they use on their helmets is gorgeous and works perfectly with navy blue. Going to symmetrical helmets is a welcome change.

My only complaint is that I wish they'd go back to saving helmet stripes for the seniors on senior day like during the Chris Ault days. That was such a cool thing, but also barely registers as an actual complaint.

I think FIU would really benefit if they shifted their color priority. They ARE the "Golden Panthers," lean more into that, as opposed to using navy as your primary color. But, what they've unveiled here is decent, it just falls into the category of being bland as per usual.

They dropped the Golden part of the name at some point, much like UCF did with Golden Knights.

Had that wing been bigger like the UTSA and FIU logos it could have worked.

Maybe, but for the dorks who post on a forum like this, I think it would have been undercut by being a standard catalogue selection masquerading as unique. This was also around the time that Oregon was doing wing patterns on their jerseys, so I guess everybody was trying to get in on that action.

    So they're copying UTSA now?

I don't look forward to this being the new trendy thing for Adidas schools to do. I guess it's better than those years in the early 2010's when all of the G5 Adidas schools seemingly had the generic claw or wing patterns.

I know what you mean. But it wasn't that long ago that these things you describe were considered a skill. Dennis Rodman got away with a lot of stuff, too. I'd argue that Draymond is just better at it than Rasheed was.

Having a guy like Draymond that can get under your team's skin is an asset. You're not supposed to like him.

You're right. Draymond is basically a wrestling heel. I love that aspect of him. The problem is that instead of having to go behind the ref's back to kick the good guy in the dick, Draymond kicks him in the dick right in front of the ref without any distractions or anything. He's almost playing a different game from everybody else.

I would like to reiterate that I love to hate Draymond. He's a good player and a better jackass, and I love jackasses in sports.

    In theory, sure.

But in practice, Draymond is a cheat code. He's given extra fouls other players aren't. Rasheed Wallace wasn't given this leeway, and was probably just as crucial to the Blazers' and Pistons' success.

Dramyond is a really important player. It's unfortunate he's allowed to have multiple tech-level offenses that other guys don't.

Watching Draymond can be so infuriating. Not because he's real good or acts like a jackass. It's because he is for some reason allowed to scream and yell in officials' faces without any repercussions. I'm all about jackasses in sports. It's my favorite thing. I want the drama.

It just feels like Draymond's allowed to do all but punch people while others are given techs for looking at refs slightly wrong. It's absolutely bizarre. I once watched Marc Gasol talking to a ref at halfcourt and a separate ref all the way at the baseline ran over and gave him a tech, and no I will never get over it because Draymond can get away with murder.
