Mississippi State is throwing it back to 1969 with the Flying M helmet and retro uniforms.

These are awesome. The black cleats and white socks with white shoelaces put the perfect finishing touch on a great uniform.

USF's friday night tykes uniforms.....not so much...

I liked the white versions better, but yup Miami did it first.

adidas x University of Miami: Parley for the Oceans Uniform - Sports News and Entertainment Outlet

These tend to be kind of weird, but Miami's at least made sense being that the uniforms were made from recycled ocean waste.

I believe South Carolina did something similar the same year as Miami but i don't recall what the story was.

Two new Georgia Alternates.  Herschel Era Throwbacks, and the Dawg Collar black jersey as seen on here previously.

INJECT THEM INTO MY VEINS. I love them both, and let UGA Uniform critic social media burn!

These are both awesome. The dog collar is the perfect way to have a fun but cool uniform without going full Oregon Duck Mascot costume.

Seems a little silly to me that Clan spelled with a "C" would be confused with the KKK, but if there are actually people who have been confused by it then good call.

The already suggested Scots and Highlanders would be great. Gaels seems to work for a number of colleges. Could take from NFL Europe and go with Claymores (always thought that was an awesome name). Other Scottish related nicknames could be Thistles, Guardians (less overt, but a reference to the Scottish "guardian thistle"), or Tartans.

I'm no English major, but i think they're pronounced the same.

Notre Dame probably sells more merch than UCLA and Cal combined. Their fanbase is massive. How much of that merch is UA stuff I'm not sure. All the shirts I've bought during the UA run have been made by Champion.

Yeah I'm from Texas but i've always had a soft spot for ND bc they were always on NBC growing up.

Also watching Rudy in Spanish class and a lot of other times growing up. One of Vince Vaughn's best films.

This is a great uniform but just needs a slight refinement... With so much going on the outlined numerals unnecessarily clutter. Look at the flag, no outlines, keep that in mind and use sold black or solid red numerals and it all comes together nicely.

These were my favorite. Definitely too busty on the numbers. But i liked the cleanliness of the flag motif, as outlandish as it appeared.

I feel like the updated versions with the waving flag makes these wayyy too busy by essentially adding gradients to an already loud design.

As a Houston sports fan and resident, this is okay, might invoke some nostalgia in older folks, but it just feels really generic. And i feel like some of the really thin lines/strokes are unnecessary. Also, using 'luv ya' blue and red but NOT giving it to the Houston team is a major headscratcher, esp when they chose to go with the colors of the already established NFL team.

Personally I thought the AAF logos were better executed.

I frequent thrift stores and I would say literally 95% of the Nike-era NFL jerseys I find are fake... the weird thing is how every jersey seems off in its own way - some have bad flywire, some have bad NFL logo chips, some are the completely wrong color... I guess the counterfeiters aren't as close to nailing it as I used to think.

To be fair, the new Nike uniforms look to be much better quality. The old legit replicas/authentics were very cheap looking; very shiny/dazzly, big and loose. Nike replicas looks significantly different; more structured, so i'm sure there was a learning curve for counterfeiters when they came into the nfl picture.

So i don't think you were necessarily wrong, i think fakes used to look more like the legit replicas.

  9. Unfair to compare a replica to an authentic. Replicas aren't designed to meet every single specification

At $115+ they should at least get the number font right.

They also sold plenty of tackle twill (2nd tier i believe) jerseys that had the incorrect number font.

Trust me, you can't go to walmart on the weekends with out seeing at least 10 people decked out in Cowboys gear. The incorrect number font was very prominent throughout the Reebok era; and it wasn't just on the bottom tier replicas.

If you're gonna charge prices like that and can't even get the number font right, you deserve to lose business.

Can you imagine how nuts this place would go if Nike made their Game jerseys ($120) and had a block font for the Broncos?? I'd be really upset if they did that.

Reebok replicas topped off at $80, and that was only the last year they made them. They were $75 the two years before that, and $65 for a long time before that.

So the fact that the front & back numbers were a little off (the actual font is correct, it's just not bold like it's supposed to be) for a lesser alternative that isn't fake was a small trade off. Especially when compared to the ridiculous errors that all counterfeits come with.

Well according to NFLshop.com the Premieres were $115 and did not have the correct font.

I don't think the aways ever had the correct font (closer but still a few details were off).

  11. I have found plenty of worthy knockoffs... and honestly, if some jerk-off comes up to me, out of nowhere, just to tell me "Ha-Ha! You didn't spend $300 on your jersey! Loser!"... i'm decking the guy...

Yup there are some great looking ones. And when companies like Reebok can't even get the correct number font for there 100-200 dollar jerseys they deserve to lose business to counterfits. (Although i will say football jerseys tend to look bad and be the worst quality knockoffs)

Soccer jerseys often look just as good as replicas.

If you ever see an adult mens soccer league you'd notice they tend to look really good.

  12. They are at fallas which sells shirts that say polo and then "not affiliated with polo Ralph Lauren" on the tag. They are china fake mistakes. Just look at those collars and everything else wrong about them.

All the stuff they sell is legit. I've gotten some misprinted player tees for like 3 bucks. They ave all kinds of misprinted stuff, especially Adidas.

The strike off thing makes a lot of sense too.

But yeah those aren't fake, just misprints. I've seen some weird ones at Marshall's/TJ MAXX before.

  13. i've also downloaded a few albums in my life, and downloaded a movie that i just as well could have rented...

I've thought about this a couple times before. Does it make someone a hypocrite to download music while chastising someone for buying a knockoff jerseys?

    Short answer: No!

Long answer: Musician, both on major and independent levels, make the vast majority of the money from things other than music sales. They get so little money from stuff sold in stores or online. Merchandise sales, record sales at shows, and shows themselves bring in far more money. Hell, I know of several musicians/bands that tell their fans to download and if they want to help out the band, buy merch/tickets.

Do designers have the ability to go on tour and sell merch/tickets to make money? No.

I have a question. Do designers make royalties for the number of jerseys sold? And I so does it vary from company to company?

  14. Does anyone have pictures of real and/or fake Elite jerseys?

I know i have a good eye for fakes, but there's some fakes online that are great quality. The thing is, i honestly don;t know what the deal is, but it from what i've gathered on youtube comments, etc, is that the ones sold on those websites vary in quality and don't match the ones in the video. So idk if they have the ability to make them that good, or if they are legitimately real and are used to trick the customers into buying theirs.
