The vote of confidence. It's right up there with "we're still mathematically alive" and "I think we should see other people." They're all just a nice way of saying it's over. I were Josh McDaniels, I wouldn't be making any plans past next week with the Raiders.

So which NFL team will call on the former GM quartet of Ron Wolf, Bill Polian, Ernie Acorsi and Charlie Casserly during the Coaching/GM cycle in January?
Cleveland
And they'll hire all four of them.

Well he shut me up. Sometimes doing copious amounts of cocaine and hiring your buddy is exactly what the doctor ordered.
You left out painkillers, but your point remains.

Aaaaaaand Jeff Saturday, from off his living room couch, just beat Josh McDaniels, one of "greatest assistant coaches on all-time".
That is hilarious. And too perfect.

Are we sure Jeff Saturday's never coached before?
He was head coach at a prep school in Georgia called Hebron Christian Academy. Who knows? Maybe that's all it takes.

Just what the whole entire transpired there?? Wasn't Buffalo up by like close to 20 or something?
Bills were up 27-10, but the Vikings wouldn't quit. The last minute of regulation was one of the craziest I've ever seen. And I've been watching the NFL for a year or two.

Speaking of that...I was mostly kidding in my response. I thought you were too.

Is there a "sad" or "cry" reaction that can be added to the others?
Someone posted that Gallagher just died, and I'm sad, but not sad enough to actually type something out, so I'm really stuck here. Do I "like" the post, implying that I "like" that Gallagher is dead? Or "heart" it, which would mean that I'm sending love to Gallagher (which I'm not) but could also mean that I love the post announcing his death.
I really don't know what to do here, since I don't want to actually type anything about Gallagher's death. I think a simply frowny face or "with a tear in my eye" reaction would suffice. Without that, I'm not going to be able to acknowledge Gallagher's death in a way that I deem fitting.
Thank you for understanding.
It would have taken you a lot less time and effort to type "R.I.P. Gallagher." It's efficient and respectful, it acknowledges his death without being maudlin about it, and it would have saved you (and more importantly, me) the trouble of being here.

What, exactly, are you looking for in NASCAR?
A safe product of integrity. The drivers need to be protected from themselves. Ross took that corner at 5 g’s, he stated his “eggs were scrambled” after. He could have easily given himself a concussion. If you want to watch someone drive into a wall and find that entertaining, fine. Go watch a demolition derby. Watch a video game stream that does it. It is actually a penalty in iRacing as well. If you want to watch the best racers use there skills against eachother that’s what I want to watch.
NASCAR has never been safer than it is today. If protecting drivers from themselves is the goal, the only option is to outlaw auto racing. We're talking about people who willingly get in a rocket on wheels and drive it at 190mph for 250 laps. You can't take risk out of NASCAR. Period.
NEWSFLASH: Drivers hit the wall all the time in NASCAR. I don't find it entertaining, but to act like something can be done about it is downright silly. Concussions happen too. It's part of the sport and NASCAR has made huge improvements in driver safety over the years.
We get "the best racers using their skills against each other" every week. Frankly, you're overreacting to a great driver pulling off a one in a million shot. Maybe you'd be better suited to watching something a little more calm like golf.

How does Ravens-Buccaneers not end up on the best? Or at least honorable mention?
Because I didn't like the game enough to include it on the best list? With regard to Niners - Rams and Commandos - Colts: the Rams uniforms are stupid. A banana on the helmet and dumb gradient, plastic numbers. The colors are the only good thing about that set. The Commandants have gradient, dot matrix numbers, but at least they aren't plastic.
You can yawn at my posts all you want, but it's not going to change my opinion.

Based on some of 'red's previous posts, I was sure this was going to be at least Top 3.
I would have preferred the Ravens in their white pants, but this still looked good to me.
If the Ravens were in all white, that game definitely makes the list. I don't like the purple pants.

I understand the justification of reasoning behind a game like Bears-Cowboys, but Ravens-Buccaneers wasn’t bad-vs-good by any stretch. Had the Ravens worn black pants and/or the Buccaneers went all pewter, yeah sure. Just an odd decision to leave it off the best category.
Which part of "The lists are based solely on which games I think looked the best and which games I think looked the worst each week" is tripping you up? I don't like the purple pants. Sorry if you find that "odd." For the record, I am under no obligation to "justify my reasoning." Hope that clears it up.

this would have been fun to bring back the "Close, but no..." list you had a bit back.
Or the "Best, Worst, and WTF?" I did a couple weeks back. The problem with doing something like that this week is that almost every game would have made the "WTF?" or "Close, but..." list and that would have been a little silly.
Agree 100% on Packers - Bills. If the Bills had worn white pants, that game would have been #1 for sure this week and in the running for #1 any other week.
