The schedule is based on a formula, yes, and cross-division games rotate between home and away, but when it comes down to whether those matching-place games are at home or away, the league decides that, and that's how you wind up with x-place Kansas City hosting x-place Buffalo every time. There should be more of an effort to make sure that doesn't happen. I think the same thing used to happen with Favre's Packers always having to play the Cowboys in Dallas.
Or why it's not unusual to meet Packers fans who hate the Cowboys almost as much as Eagles fans do

I remember in the IHL's last couple years, when the Milwaukee Admirals switched to the wave jerseys, they wore navy helmets with both the red and white jerseys. No idea why they went without white helmets considering the skating admiral set they replaced used them, but I quite liked the look. IIRC they tried to keep it going after the IHL folded, but the AHL made them get white helmets.

I like their orange jersey, and it has historical precedent, doesn’t it? I feel like they wore orange at some point in the early years. But the orange helmet is absolutely wrong. The navy wishbone-C with a white outline against an orange helmet doesn’t translate well at all.
Yeah, their colored jerseys tended to be orange in the 30s.

Ooh, a Blades tribute, cool.

Wondered what happened to the Rox, saw they're a collegiate wood bat team now. Nor'easters feels more like it'd fit a hockey team, but I figure I'd go with Knockouts from this list.

Far as the Bucks go, I would've preferred lime green over more blue...and why do these look like a blue version of the Sonics? Go home Nike, you're drunk and out of good ideas RN.
The Rockets....I see the nod to Phi Slama Jama....and I also see what is two side stripes away from a Clippers throwback. Reiterating that Nike should sleep off the hangover.

UW System rebranding to........drumroll please.........the Universities of Wisconsin.
Seems kinda pointless, but I don't run a college so what do I know? Then again, it doesn't seem like UW's mass renaming of it's two years schools has been received all that well (with mouthfuls like UW- Whitewater at Rock County [which is often referred to as U Rock] and UW-Green Bay Marinette among them)

In the words of Dean Smith, glad I'm not living and dying by this, because the Bears would have made me a zombie years ago. Do I wish they won? Yes...am I gonna mope all night and all Monday? No.
Far as the bonus coverage, I'm gonna call it: if the Whiners lose this game, Kyle Shanahan will be the next Dumb Decisions episode.
EDIT: Kyle Shanahan...welcome to Dumb Decisions

I liked the Black set when unveiled, but when I saw the game action last week, remembered why it doesn’t work in real life: the number colors.
Red numbers with a White or Silver outline on Black jerseys are hard to read. The last high school team I coached had these, so I know from experience. (We fixed this on new uniforms by going to a double outline that added Black between the Red & White and it made a huge difference.)
Not only are they harder to read, but the Cardinals numbers just seem smaller on the front, similar to the Lions. I hate it.
I think they should’ve matched their numbers to their stripes on this set: Silver fill, Red outline. It would’ve contrasted beautifully with the Red NOBs.
The autumn wind is a raider, suing you just for fun
He'll blow cardinals down, toss them around, then laugh as they've conquered and won

Rockhurst old: woof. I can definitely see why they're changing, I just wonder who thought a blob with a randomly sprouted beak counted as a hawk.

Not even your most unpopular opinion this week lmao.
In all seriousness, these were mid. Don't really understand what they were going for with those shoulder gradients.
Snakeskin, basically. Sure, it bombed, but snakeskin.

So USC's gunners decided this was a good idea...

Clearly there's something there in old DC. Not sure what, but it's something, in spite of whatever it was Danny boy called himself doing. Are they ready to contend for the Super Bowl this year? Probably not, but they seem closer to it than the Bears do.

Considering I wasn't expecting much this year, this was a good showing for the Cubs. Would've liked em to make it to October but it looks like the rebuild's a bit ahead of schedule.
Congrats to the Orioles for suddenly becoming good again, and to the Yankees for avoiding becoming the best last place team of all time.

Calling it right now: Matt Eberflus, for wasting this great effort from the Bears offense...Welcome to Dumb Decisions
Edit: yup. Called it.

As a kid a I always thought GT was a black and gold school so I was confused when they started wearing navy accents.
Given that they were wearing black for a minute in the 80s, as well as how their logo was colored for a long time, I don't blame you. Kinda like how black wasn't actually an official school color for Colorado until recently (gold and silver).

One thing I know...either Bakhtiari should retire or the Packers should move on from him. Dude's still one of the best left tackles in the game when he can actually suit up...but you can also cue up the Tecmo Super Bowl injury music on a regular basis as far as Bakh goes. Feels like this...

Wasn't this mostly a Chiefs thing? Tbh I didn't hate it, it makes sense for the stripes on your arms to match the ones on your legs.
IIRC that was mostly Washington doing that.

Never said that, just saying their QB kinda looked like Philip Rivers mechanically...dude kinda throws an ugly ball, but he makes good decisions from what I saw. Kinda like the opposite of Graham Mertz.

Today just felt like a letdown. ND winning would have been more interesting than another boring Buckeye rerun.
Ugh...sometimes it felt like the Irish did everything right on defense, and then that Ohio State QB would luck out somehow.

Man...this Packers comeback felt like watching the Matt Flynn comeback all over again...except with fewer obvious opponent brain farts.

The Heat have gone from having the best, most colorful and most popular city uniforms to a 30 second design that would be on sale at Target or something. They don't need two black and red uniforms! It's bad enough they normally look like the Blazers/Bulls/Raptors, this just makes it worse.
I don't really see it. Even if the only point I'd make is that the Heat wear a darker red than the other three.

Honestly, I think I'd like to see the Saints roll out a gold road jersey instead of white. Much like I think the Seahawks should've kept the gray jerseys and dumped their whites.
