LMU...Honestly hadn't had much of a plan here, TBH. Wish I'd had more of one. Hell, I wish I'd done more with the sun lion, this is just kinda there. Not awful, but man is this one boring.
NAU...I had more of a plan here, obviously. Axe blade yoke, mountain cuffs/hem. I figured for what I was going for, the running lumberjack was a better fit as the crest than the NAU axe blade...granted, I have no idea why he's running.

At least Coan can hit a target.
AKA what I've been thinking for the last few years of the Graham Mertz Experience...being able to make all the throws is worthless when you make the right throw like once every three games. Jack Coan's not gonna excite anybody, but he's generally not gonna be why you lost.

My high school colors were Green, Black and White. The baseball team had a recolored Pittsburgh Pirates hat but the logo was green instead of yellow.
I recall some years back, the college in between Racine and Kenosha, UW Parkside, their baseball team wore the Pirates P on their caps (green outlined in white rather than gold) and wore a tweaked version of the Rangers' old lettering on their white jerseys, in green letters outlined in white and black. Not sure what they're wearing now.

Looking at the Chowdaheads again...yeah, still Son of Gorton vibes...not sure the PBLA has any Canadian teams, but if there are, I hereby give the Canadian press permission to call him Highlander Jr.

A pity nobody suggested either Dollars or Quartermasters, given that's where most folks see GW normally
At least if they're going for unique/goofyish, those make much more sense than Truth. Blue Fog sort of makes sense if you consider the famed Washington Crossing the Delaware painting.

Well, the Truth is definitely out there...
I'll see myself out.

There's gotta be much better ways to allude to the flag than what USA Baseball stuck itself with... unfortunately, one's taken, namely USA Hockey's logo.

Off the wall guess: it'll be graphite with a white lion trimmed in blue

*including two for the Reds and winning the division with the Reds should count twice because look at us now.
Ugh... I'm not sure who's in worse shape between your guys and the Pirates. Almost makes me want Marge Schott back, if only because the Reds were actually good and it was more fun (and more moral) to hate that racist hag. As it is, both teams are trash, the only real difference is the Reds have Joey Votto, and the Pirates don't.

Took a look at the secondary logos just now...so basically, I find myself somewhat wondering what the Rock and his people were thinking. In no particular order:
- Renegades: why they decided the bandit should be the secondary and the R..or A\R or whatever should be the primary baffles me.
- Roughnecks: no complaints here, this is actually solid.
-
Guardians: basically they did what they should've done with
DallasArlington, simple alternate to pair with a solid primary. - Brahmas: sell this thing to the Missions is it weird to think this is better than their primary, yet shouldn't be promoted?
- Defenders: the secondary should've been the primary, tertiary should be the secondary, and the primary should join the scrap heap.
- Sea Dragons: actually pretty interesting. Inevitably, someone's gonna stick this on a Mariners concept.
- Battlehawks: didn't realize it was armored until I read the description...and now I realize why they're in blue/silver.
- Vipers: the LV is thisclose to being great, but the L is italicized, while the V isn't. Why? JUST WHY?...the fleur de lis, on the other hand, weird choice. All I can decipher is this is some strange attempt at representing all four suits at the same time.

I'm shocked nobody's mentioned yet that they won't have their name, logos, or uniforms to start the season, and will be playing in literal question mark uniforms. I'm... Shocked.
Wait... that's for real? Huh.

Was that caused by the receiver running about 15 years through the team's bench area?
Dallas Goedert: bench area aged him by 15 years, now needs Hair Club for Men, must now retire

Real life Retro Bowl, that's what when you need to go deep with 5 seconds left and your QB has maxed out arm strength...but you went deep a lot early so he's out of stamina

On topic, this has been one of the better Super Bowls I've seen. Best atmosphere I can recall for one too.

Also, when we had an ice hockey team, they just took the Blackhawks logo and stuck it on a Flames jersey. Which is partially why I just wore a Chicago Blackhawks shirt I had to football games (where I saw Aaron Donald play before any of you did ).
I'll venture to guess it was impossible for just one lineman to stop him back then too
Basically ever since they opened, my high school's had a long tradition of copying the Eagles in some manner, though like @RyanMcD29's employer, back in the day the other sports went with something of a hodgepodge, for instance I recall the basketball shorts used the eagle Kent State was using in the 80s without the thunderbolt. For almost three decades, the helmets featured the older Eagle wings on white shells, basically identical to what Philly wore in the early 70s (as a bonus, paired with Packers uniforms from the neck down early on, though by the time I got there a small mural was the only evidence of that set), and then in the mid 90s it got inverted to white wings on green. Amusingly enough, our green jerseys were almost identical to the jerseys the Packers almost switched to in 94, with eagles on the sleeves instead of G's (the eagle below is slightly modified, mostly the eye but also the extra coloring is removed; when I was there, we were using the eagle unmodified beyond replacing silver with gold).
Coincidentally, UW Whitewater briefly copied the Philly eagle too, before adopting a hawk head that's clearly inspired by it, but is just different enough.

Isn't Milwaukee devoid of football venues? That might be the reason why no alternative football leagues have gone there. Now I don't know if the upcoming soccer stadium for the Milwaukee USL Championship team (that will seat 8,000) can be used for football, as Marquette plans to use it a lot for it's Men's and Women's soccer teams and Men's and Women's Lacrosse. Maybe they can use a high school stadium? I don't know the area to know if any of the high school stadiums in Milwaukee are suitable for alternative football.
Basically, yes, which is why I haven't even given a Milwaukee team in either the XFL or USFL any thought (see @Sec19Row53's post). The revived AFL, though, I can see Mustangs III happening, if only because they can actually play in the city, where an outdoor team would need to play somewhere else and bear with facilities that, frankly, aren't pro quality by any stretch of the imagination.

There’s a good idea somewhere in here, but this ain’t it. Flag football is really boring.
I figure that, at least for the spectator, might be chalked up to the fact that flag and tackle may use the same ball, but tend to be so different that strategies that work in flag tend to not work in tackle, and vice versa. What I mean by this is that while flag rulesets universally substitute flag pulls for tackling, few of them substitute anything for the act of blocking, and consequently, unlike tackle, there are no dedicated linemen. Ergo, flag strategies tend to look like there are too many moving parts.
This dude explains it much better than I did, and offered solutions.

I don't think government agencies are gonna be using taxpayer money to buy ad space on baseball jerseys. Or I would hope not.
Of course not, they're too busy injecting beagle pups with cocaine, watching roided up hamsters fight, and studying parrot love.

I thought it was silly when the Thunder swapped the lettering on their white and blue jerseys, but I guess they were on to something, given the last several Bucks games I've watched, it feels like I've only seen one or two white at home games.
