  1. The Texans are an odd case in that they did everything right, as far as their aesthetics....except be the Oilers...or at least knockoff Oilers.  One thing that you can't really ignore is that the Oilers stood out.  The Texans, frankly, don't.

No one is enjoying watching Michigan faceplant more than I am, but there's still a lot of game to play.

One thing I know from a lifetime of hating Michigan (which Vegas also seems to know if DG's any indication): there is no such thing as running up the score when it's them on the business end.  You do not call off the dogs, you bash their damn brains in, burn the corpse and ship the ashes to Abu Dhabi.  Ease up at all, and TCU is learning the hard way that in the blink of an eye, you'll go from routing them to "holy crap they caught up!"

    Like so.

  3. All the talk about these QBs who come out of Blueblood programs and proceed to do nothing in the league sadly remind me of a good chunk of the running backs who've come out of Wisconsin.  Most of the Badger backs who've made it to the league, for various reasons, don't do much as pros, with some exceptions (acknowledging one such reason is "my OL's no longer beefier than their DL").

Not the most knowledgeable when it comes to NFL history, but has there ever been a bigger fluke than Nick Foles?
And I’m not talking about a guy with one great year and then he disappears. I’m asking about a guy who has had major success with one team, then got multiple(!) chances elsewhere to replicate that and fails miserably.

There was a linebacker, also an Eagle, who seemed to suck whenever he played for anybody else, I wanna say it was Jeremiah Trotter but I could be wrong.

  5. Oklahoma State...basically, the home is based on St. Kilda with orange replacing red, and an orange back, mainly because I wanted the clash to be black.  The clash has a gray/orange center stripe and Phantom Pete, and the vintage involves tricolor striping, copying a vintage St. Kilda design...okay, so I was short on my own ideas.

Tulane...the home is loosely inspired by Adelaide, if the Crows' hoops were wavy.  Basically took the waves off of the 80s T logo.  The angry wave is more prominent on the clash, while the third uses the now-retired T-wave, and I was going for a more subtle/abstract wave look.

A dude was pretty much big swinging a guy like Claudio by his shirt

I remember back in my JV days, mentally facepalming on the sideline one fine Thursday afternoon, because I've long guessed they wanted to look cool, our DEs and linebackers were tackling like that (though not grabbing t-shirts)...and looking like idiots because without fail, they kept throwing the runner forward, gifting them one or two extra yards. 😑

  7. Oregon...the home is basically the O, blown up and wearable.  The clash's flying ducks are taken from one of their spring game helmets, and just felt Oregon.  I liked the clash's sock stripes so much I used them for the Mighty Oregon fauxback jumper.

Holy Cross...admittedly, I was feeling a bit derivative here.  Basically took St. Kilda's old Hot Cross jumper design and made a white version to go along with it.

Yeah, Mikan was not only the Lakers’ first superstar, but he was probably the first dominating force the league ever had. He was basketball’s very best player for most of his career.

Players of that caliber and stature should have thier number retired quickly, not 60+ years after thier retirement and some 15 or so years after thier death. I’m honestly shocked the Lakers hadn’t done so until this recently.

The only thing I can think of as to why is... let's be real, about the only other NBA player I can name off the top of my head who wears 99 is Jae Crowder.  It's relatively rare for basketball players to pick any digit over 5.  They probably figured no one would ask for 99.

Is it teal or turquoise? The DBacks had teal in their original ID, and lots of teams use a teal that in many applications looks like a lighter blue, but in this case I think it's 2 different colors from 2 different branding eras.

Both are supposed to be turquoise, though the current shade looks more like it.

What they are rumored to be bringing back for this weekend that I am passionate about them making permanent again - gold endzones. I get why the field at Acrisure is painfully boring due to sharing with Pitt, but Pitt does wear the same shade of gold now...

I don't get why they don't just paint PITTSBURGH in both end zones until Pitt's season ends.  Having that in just one end and the slash marks in the other looks indecisive to me, like Notre Dame's groundskeepers snuck in and messed with one of the endzones for laughs...and Pittsburgh's crew looking, then shrugging, grunting "meh, good enough."

This feels reminiscent of an incident I only know of due to a JG9 video: down in New Orleans in the 80s, a man robbed a house, his ill-gotten haul including a nice watch and a Saints ticket.  Our robber goes to the game...as does the man whose house he broke into, who was able to get into the Superdome after explaining his situation...only to find this other guy in his seat.  Wearing his watch.
