I think you are probably right. Retro M&N Smyth (1996-97 home) and Laraque (1997-98 road) went up on the team store's site recently.

Under FAQ it says more retros will be released this spring and fall. A poster on reddit said the next batch includes jerseys for Cujo, Weight, and Hemsky.

Yep. They wore them for all three road games against Colorado in the 2000 playoffs.

Really don't like the darker blue Sweden is using in the World Juniors this year.

I remember the Sabres wearing their red alternates for a playoff game against the Flyers in 2001.

The Oilers fixed/changed the arm numbers location for the regular season. During the preseason they were way off center between the shoulder yokes and arm stripes.

The first time in 28 years a Calgary-Edmonton game has looked like this.

The Oilers were also one of the few teams last season that didn't use a helmet sponsor. They will have one for 2022-23, though (Skip the Dishes on the roads).

Edmonton's AHL team (Bakersfield Condors) are switching to royal blue and darker orange as well.

The classics should be here to stay. The owner loves them, and the fans and players pushed for their return according to the President of the Oilers Entertainment Group.

The people who were in charge of switching to navy and neon orange in 2017 are no longer with the organization. Their thinking was that the McDavid era needed its own look. It was a dumb and ugly mistake.
