I saw these posted to facebook the other day on a jersey selling group. I thought this was really interesting direction that the Oilers were looking to go. Clearly the Orange base was the plan for a while, even before navy came into the mix. These do look legit, but I'm not 100% sure...

Thanks for sharing. Is that the previous shade of orange as well?

The Oilers announced in March 2017 they'd be wearing the orange alternates in that year's playoffs and would be switching to an orange home jersey when adidas took over in the fall. There was a huge push from the organization to get fans to wear orange to the games.

I think most people still view the Oilers as a primarily blue team, and the colour change has been a bust. The 2015-17 uniforms were near perfect.

Looks pretty good. I like the depth the yellow gold gives behind the Capitol.

I assume there's some symbolism with the stars on the shanks?

The right side of the ring features the year date 2018, which is set with an additional 26 diamonds. Below that is the famous Stanley Cup created in white gold and set with 20 diamonds and one star-shaped ruby, which represents the team's first Stanley Cup Championship. Two additional star-shaped rubies flank either side of the Stanley Cup and commemorate the Capitals' two Eastern Conference Championships.

Doesn't look like the two stars on the left side represent anything.

I could sort of understand this if Garth Brooks were from Edmonton, but even that would be dumb. This is ridiculous. Especially considering he has not even played 9 shows at that venue.

This is exactly what the banner is for. Brooks played nine shows at Rogers Place from February 17 to 25.
