It was reported in September that Verizon would be the helmet sponsor for the Sabres this season, but this logo is on Buffalo's home helmets tonight (as it was during preseason):
KeyBank was on their white buckets during the preseason.
Arizona, Columbus, and Ottawa are also without helmet sponsors to begin the season and are just using their own logos instead. That's six teams so far (Colorado and Edmonton are the other two).

The Elks are in the Eskimos' EE alternates today, with a new helmet.
The gold numbers/letters are a welcome sight.
The Stamps are wearing the barbed wire helmets on the road tonight.

Go to their website, the Kachina is plastered everywhere. The only places on the homepage of the site where it's the Howling Head are on the standings to the side, which may be hardwired to NHL.com, and then in the Arizona Coyotes Foundation logo, which is something that would be changed later.
Look at the branding of the rookie tournament they are hosting.
Since the standings are for this past season, it will stay as the Howling Head until the new season begins. NHL.com uses season-specific logos for that stuff.

There have been issues with the logo since the Coyotes brought it back three seasons ago. At least both skate blades are the correct colour this time.

I would guess, considering the relatively recent and quick rollout of their new look, that they're just using the uniforms they had planned to wear in 2020. Unless I'm missing something, there's nothing about these uniforms that's specifically "Elks" branded. I've assumed from the start that they're just using their prior equipment, but changed the helmet design.
The "Edmonton" wordmark on the front of the jerseys is also from the Eskimos era.

They are keeping the EE logo around as a secondary. I hope next year, (or within the next couple of years) they actually make more changes to the uniform.
The logo on the pants is the Eskimos' version of the EE logo (white letters, drop shadow, green oval). The Elks have an EE logo, but the letters are slightly modified and changed to yellow, and the oval/shadow were dropped.

Also, not sure if it was pointed out, but the Elks didn't get new pants this year; the Eskimos logo is still on the upper right leg. I'm guessing Covid had something do with that. Still a little surprising they didn't remove or cover it up.

They look like the Packers. I hope the gold numbers return.

Not a great pic, but an early look nonetheless.
I'm a sucker for these kinds of helmets (Rams, Bengals, Vikings, Eagles, Barnstomers) but I don't know if I'm a fan. The decal looks too small and thin to me.
The Stamps are wearing the normal helmets, so no idea what that helmet Mitchell was wearing is about.
A couple more pics of the Elks:

Is there any talk of the Avs ditching the black numbers/names on the away jerseys?

If the Oilers are going back to the dynasty uniforms again, they should stick with the single outline on the numbers they currently have (and had for their first two years in the league). That was one improvement adidas made in 2017. It looks cleaner and would help with reading the orange numbers from a distance.

Interesting choice of jersey to use for the 2021-22 Season Seat Registry...
