So you're telling me Seattle had a couple serviceable players between the Largent and Holmgren eras...

The Seahawks might've been the worst team in the 90s decade. Rock, paper, scissors between them, the Cards and Bengals.

I would actually say the Seahawks were just painfully mediocre in that decade. They had an overall record of 70-90 in the 90s. They were 2-14 in 1992 but hovered around or hit the .500 mark for the rest of the decade. It was not the best decade to be a Seahawks fan but I'd say we probably didn't have it too bad.

Chelsea's home kit looks so weird on field.

I think this might be one of their worst kits I have ever seen. I love the little nod to the 97/98 shirt with the cuff stripes, but that is where my praise stops. The Nike mark and the Chelsea logo looks really bad. Plus, I don't like the side panels and the random white on the back.

Okay, these might not be perfect, but I feel like a kid again! These look great and I really like the old logo on a modern helmet. I don't say this often but...

    Good job, Nike!

  4. Overall, they are pretty okay.

The good - The shade of orange is awesome.

The meh - They are retaining the nameplates. I'm kind of indifferent with them.

The bad - The numbers are a solid black on white sleeves on the home jersey. The sleeve numbers are solid white on orange sleeves on the away jersey.

The ugly - The alternate abominations are still around. I get that they are waiting to change them until the Fanatics deal starts but I would have dropped them completely.

Penn State has the most boring athletic identity in Division 1 across all sports. I understand it's not ever going to change, but goddamn they love to keep it uninteresting in every regard

And we wear it proudly like a badge of honor!

  6. I understand that Baltimore and New York are in close proximity, but I don't know why Philadelphia would be overlooked. There have been a couple of PLL championships there as well as some NCAA championships. Philadelphia is a strong lacrosse market. You can put the team at Subaru Park in Chester.

  7. It seems like there are 4 options:

    1. Try to work something out in Phoenix

    2. Move franchise to Houston

    3. Move franchise to Atlanta

    4. Move franchise to Quebec City

Option 1 is a terrible idea. Option 2 is a big unknown. Option 3 is probably the worst idea. That leaves option 4 as the only good option. But this is Bettman and the NHL. Option 4 might not even be their plan D.

    Probably the 1980's?

I know it was probably closer to the mid-90s. The 1994 Orange Bowl between FSU and Nebraska was aired on NBC.

Edit: Nevermind, he said a non-bowl game. You are probably right.

Keith Jones is actually a really sharp guy with a mind for the business and an eye for talent (both human and equine).  He's funny and a prankster (at least when he did local radio) but with the right people around him to run the business stuff, he could be a good candidate to run hockey ops.  You may see only one side of him on national broadcasts, but it wouldn't be the worst hire ever.  Don't know anything about Olczyk.

    EDIT:

And he once legit saved Eric Lindros' life, so there's that.

I agree. Yes, he is another ex-Flyer in a front office/executive role, but this feels different. He has actually been pretty vocal against the way the Flyers have been doing things. Plus, I want to see what Briere can do as a GM.
