Poor Orioles, they  are the Pirates of the AL East.

A punching bag for the real teams in their division. While on rare occasions they may accidently be competitive.

The sad thing their owners are probably content with that. As long as they can sell some tickets and pay their players bottom dollar while skimming off the rest for themselves.

    Man, the Angelos family sucks.

Sadly the early reaction I've seen online & among my Leaf fan friends has been mostly positive. And anyone who has criticized them has just been called a sour boomer.

i dont want to live on this planet anymore GIF

Naturally, if you don't like something that may be popular on social media, you are called a Boomer. Even if you were born well after the 1960s. Such original criticism.

I think the tide kind of turned on him, a bit like what's starting to happen with Romo, where what people liked about him to begin with became just too much. Like you don't need to be hootin' and hollerin'  on a four yard handoff.

Gus is okay when he isn't screaming about a mundane play. The problem is that he always seems to be screaming.

If ESPN is getting Buck, he absolutely takes over Sunday Night Baseball. In fact, I don't think Buck would sign with ESPN if he were just calling 20 NFL games and nothing else. I can also see him doing the occasional New Year's college football Bowl game

I like the idea of him doing baseball for ESPN but I really hope he stays away from college football.

  5. This is very disheartening news. My wife and I became Wings STH when they came back and I have really gotten back into the league. If I can think of any positives that might ease our minds, it would be that there is a lot of money invested into the league and the teams. Tsai, Pegula, and Comcast all have teams. Plus, there is still expansion into Las Vegas. Maybe the league is in good hands.

The Philadelphia Union had unveiled their new primary kit.

Its better than their last one, but anything would've been, glad a stripe is back, but would prefer it in the center.

As much as I really like it (I love the return to the light blue on the primary), I feel the same way. The stripe needs to be thicker and in the center.

But this shirt is a solid B+.

Apparently it’s because Harden was immensely disliked in the Nets locker room, whereas Kyrie isn’t.

Technically, this is a good trade for Philly, but who knows what type of Harden they’re getting. Harden has now quit on and forced a trade on two teams in one year when the going got tough. He’s a known locker room cancer and literally takes no responsibility.

    Good luck, Philly.

For us Sixers fans, it is kind of like playing Pick Your Poison. I think I'll take my chances with an :censored: that actually wants to play basketball and not feign mental illness.

Pretty much my thoughts as well.

Just add Stan Kronke being a human piece of :censored: and the Rams are quite easy to root against.

It's really not, especially with Cincinnati wearing their best uniforms.  Had they been in all white, I may have had a little conflict here.

I'm not a "always root for the little guy" kinda guy, but I really want to see the Rams fail.  I want their throwing away of 1st round picks to blow up, I want signing OBJ to blow up, I want their funny-looking coach's hair to get messed up, and I want them to be punished by the gods of drip for having those boner uniforms (even if they won't be wearing them.)

    This one's easy.

All of this, plus me being a Seahawks fan, makes it so terribly easy for me to root for the Bengals.

  9. So now we are railing against the Flames current uniforms? In theory, the use of black is fine. However, they have gone overboard so much so that they became yet another red and black team. The Calgary Flames are a red and gold team. If black is needed (which, IMO, it is not), then it should only be used as trim.
