  1. If by some you mean none, then yeah, they're aces. Good one. Leave it to charger to be even more wrong than a spambot. There is plenty of quality counterfeit merchandise out there. And frankly, I don't understand how someone who avoids and has never owned counterfeit merchandise can be such an expert on how good its quality is. And be able to speak for all counterfeit merchandise quality. Leave it to loooooooooogodud to not be able to follow a simple conversation. Were talking about jerseys here genius... try to keep up. Uh, I know we are. The issue is that I still don't get how you can know about the quality of all counterfeit jerseys, especially since you've never even owned any. Sounds like a bunch of bull . But then again, considering the source... Maybe I understand after all.

  3. when did he play for the giants? i don't seem to recall his stint with the giants. Not sure if you are being serious, but he did win his 300th game as a Giant. quite serious. i honestly don't follow baseball all that much so that pic of him in a giants jersey caught me off guard. and no i didn't know he won his 300th game as a giant. You're not alone. I knew he was a Giant for a short period, but I had no idea he won his 300th game in that uniform. It seemed like a less prestigious "Michael Jordan on the Wizards" type of deal. An old-timer trying it out one last time. Definitely the "wrong" uniform for Randy.
  4. I'm not too young to remember, I remember watching Damon his rookie season when he looked like he was like 12 years old. The fact is that his years in KC weren't his most impactful years in the majors. Most fans and players won't remember of him as a Royal first, and I think that's what really matters here. Oh yeah, he played for DET too, I don't think that's been mentioned in this conversation yet.
  5. Damon doesn't have 1 team. He was drafted and spent 6 seasons in KC. He won a championship in both New York and Boston, spending 4 seasons in each city. I believe I heard a few weeks ago he said he would want to go into the HOF as a Royal, if he got it. When I think of Johnny Damon, I don't think "Man, what a true Royal." I think of him as being with the Idiots on the Red Sox. Like it or not, his glory days were with Boston. People will remember for the beard and being the catalyst for the Red Sox for their curse-breaking 2004 season. I'm not forcing you to think like me. You can think that his one "true" team is the Rays for all I care. I'm simply stating that I think he'll be remembered as a member of the Red Sox first and foremost. That's how I'll remember him. Well, you're a Red Sox fan, so that's not surprising, I'm a Yankee fan,I don't think of him as a Yankees, I think of him as a journey man.... Who spent big chunks of his career in 3 cities, and short stops in 2 other cities. And when you say "glory days" what does that even mean? He arguably had better years in New York, his OPS is higher in NY than it was in Boston, and he won a championship, and was a big part of both, in New York and Boston. as a phillies fan i always think of damon as a red sox player. Agreed, as an O's fan I think of Damon as a Red Sox player first and foremost. Maybe it's the beard, maybe it's because they broke the curse with him, I don't know. But I just remember seeing and hearing a lot more of/about him (personally) when he was in a BoSox uniform. He is originally from Kansas though (not just MLB, but his actual life), which might explain why he would want to go to the HoF as a Royal. I guess. Still seems kind of silly though.
  6. They can both be construed as bull crimes. It just depends on who you ask and how much they care about either one. Technically, though, they are both crimes. We've been over this, I would hope it's sunk in by now. But based on your track record, I'm not going to hold my breath. And you don't need to end every post with "amirite?" P.S. Let the record show that charjerk77 brought the crime of speeding into the conversation this time. Maybe he's finally acknowledging that it's a crime.
  7. That's fine, I see your point. But it might be better to come up with an improvement than just saying what you don't like. Can you think of a better way to have 32 teams (in the same cities AnythingChicago wanted) split up among 8 divisions? I'd like to hear your suggestion, I'm not being sarcastic. Also, I don't understand what you said earlier about putting CLE in a division away from East teams... They would still be in a division with 2 "East" (as it currently exists) teams. Why can't CLE be moved to another division?
  8. Having entire weekends with no host games for an entire league makes about as much sense as Cleveland in the South division and an MLB team in Albuquerque, which is none. Nothing wrong with having Cleveland in the South division. It's all just a matter of where teams best fit relative to the other teams. If the Columbus NHL team can be placed in the Western Conference, a Cleveland baseball team can be placed in a Southern Division. Actually it does matter in baseball. You can get away with a minor one, but not this. Baseball isn't like football where everybody plays on basically the same day once a week. They also have set times. In baseball you play just about everyday with the occasional day off. And you sometimes go from city to city on back to back game days. Here the distance of travel plays a more significant role. All of this plus putting Cleveland in a division away from the other AL Central or even East teams just doesn't make sense. Think about it for a second. Tampa Bay and Boston are currently both in the AL East. No one complains about the alignment of that division, and the distance from Tampa to Boston is actually greater than the distance from Tampa to Cleveland. And it's a lot greater than Charlotte to Cleveland and Baltimore to Cleveland. It's the same deal in the NL East right now with the Marlins and Phillies (or Mets). So, it's really not that big of an issue. And I would like to here your explanation on how an Albuquerque expansion team wouldn't work (considering their AAA team, the Isotopes, currently draw more than some MLB teams do on some days *cough* Florida, Baltimore, Tampa Bay *cough*), and how the interleague weekend deals don't make sense. Thanks for playing. Exactly. I don't have inter-city distances in front of me, but there are some pretty huge distances that already exist among inter-division teams. Tampa Bay and Boston; Texas and Seattle; Miami and New York; Houston and Pittsburgh. Again, I'm not looking at a map, but I'm pretty sure the distances between those inter-division teams are close to (if not greater than) the distance between CLE and TB. There are always going to be a couple of "oddball" distances that need to be in any divisional alignment; the key is to not have too many of them, or at least justify them by some other logic. I think AnythingChicago's alignment does a decent job of that.

  10. Really? Everything I've ever seen posted anywhere as "yeah I got this from an Asian knockoff site" is such obvious garbage. The letters and numbers are terrible. Well, I actually don't own any fake jerseys, and I've only seen a few in person (well, at least ones that I know for a fact are fake, since the person wearing it told me), so maybe more of them look like garbage than I think. I do own a couple of counterfeit hats though (at least I think they are counterfeit - I bought them off the street in NYC Chinatown, so I am assuming they are counterfeit), and they look great.
  11. Among other things, some indications could be crooked, wrongly-sized, or just flat out wrong lettering, numbers, wordmarks, etc. Those are probably the most obvious indications. Truth is though, that many fakes are so well made that it's hard to even tell.
  12. The people that had their intellectual property stolen. And the people with no concept of right or wrong. Do you seriously think that anyone who has ever worn a piece of counterfeit merchandise has "no concept of right or wrong?" Do you realize how broad of a brush you're painting with there? The number of people who have worn counterfeit merchandise is a lot higher than you think it is. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if you, yourself, have worn counterfeit merchandise. I'd hate to know what you think of people who actually commit crimes. Dude, I'm talking about you, Mr. Defend Everyone From IP Thieves to Pedophiles. Oh, ok. So it's ok for you to commit crimes, but no one else. Ok, LightsOut. What crime has he been charged for or admitted to? Paying attention isn't exactly your strong suit, is it?

  14. No, but it's quite ironic that you took it out of yours... well, all of yours. I'm not going to take the time to edit out the TM of a logo image. Sorry if that bothers you.

  16. I was at the Phillies game tonight and i cant tell u have many fake jerseys i saw, some Rep jerseys looked good till the went by and the player name n numbers on the back were too big and/or wrong font. it was bad. Nothing personal guys, but what I find funny about these stories is that it sounds like these "fakers" not only saved a :censored:load of money on their jerseys, but had a great time at the game, and then probably went out afterwards and didn't give a about what people thought. And you guys in your overpriced jerseys let it get to you, thought about it during the game (which no doubt ruined your experience a little), and then felt the need to bitch about it on the Internet. Again, nothing personal, but I have to wonder who the real "losers" are here.
  17. I still don't get why any of these suggestions are better than 6 divisions of 5. With 6 divisions of 5, you get the same number of teams in each division AND both conferences. It's really the only arrangement that satisfies both of those requirements. If you are for doing away with divisions altogether, then that's another thing. But I've yet to see a benefit of changing the league into 4 or 5 bigger divisions. Also, ever notice how the MLB, NBA, NHL, and NFL all split into 4 or 5 team (well, 6 for the NL Central, but we all know why that was done) divisions once the team counts became 30+? That's because no one wants to see a division with 7 or 8 teams anymore if it can be avoided. It reduced the amount of inter-division rivalry in the divisions when they became that big.
  18. Personally, I hope they put CLB in the East, for logic's sake. Having PIT and WSH in the same division is a pretty good idea from a rivalry standpoint, but I don't think it makes sense geographically. Personally (tweaking your suggestion) I would move DET to the Midwest, CLB to the South, and PIT to the East. But I favor geography over other criteria, so that might be why we would set things up differently. Overall though, I'm more in favor of the current 5-team division system. First of all, if hurts less when your team finishes last in a 5-team division. Second of all, I feel that with smaller divisions, the inter-division rivalries become more "personal."
  19. Maybe it's just me, but I don't like the idea of having 14 teams in one conference and 16 in the other. It's making it unfairly difficult for the bottomfeeders of the Eastern Conference as compared to the bottomfeeders of the Western Conference. How about having 15 teams in each conference, with 8 teams in one division and 7 in the other, per conference. How about moving DET from the Northeast Division to the Central Division, for example? Just a thought.
  20. If only the world was that straight forward. The reality is that you are supporting an industry that steals intellectual property and takes money away from the leagues. Therefore, indirectly, you are helping take money away from the owners of that intellectual property. I'm not trying to change your mind about buying counterfeits (because as we've found out that's not gonna happen), just don't think you're not in the wrong here. If you know what you're doing isn't right and you still do it, then that is your choice. And if you pay taxes, then you are supporting an industry that steals resources and takes money away from other countries. Therefore, indirectly, you are helping take money away from owners of those resources. But if you know what you're doing isn't right and you still do it, then that is your choice. Sucks the way the world actually works, don't it?
  21. Yes, they are. $300 is the market price for an authentic. If you can't afford it, then don't get a jersey. You're not entitled to one. Someday, you'll understand how the world really works. Actually, he does own a jersey. As does everyone else who owns a knockoff. Someday, you'll understand how the world really works.
  22. Then you're not entitled to own a jersey. Sorry, that's life. When you see someone wearing a knock-off, whether it be at a game or on the street, do you go up to them and preach about how they are not entitled to own that jersey? Anyone else on here do that? No, because I'm not the kind of annoying jackass who would go up to some random person on the street and preach at them. That doesn't change the fact that they're wrong for doing it. But you are the kind of annoying jackass who would preach at some random person over the Internet.
  23. Then you're not entitled to own a jersey. Sorry, that's life. You do not think I should own a fake jersey but I do, and you cannot stop me from doing this. I can't, but my buddies in the DOJ can. Or at least make it more difficult for you. You've got to be kidding. Your "buddies"?
  24. because most people care more about their own wallet. Let's see, I can buy a licensed jersey for $250 or a knock-off for $50? So long as the quality is there (and nowadays, the knock-offs are pretty much just as good) I'll take the knock-off and use the extra $200 for something else. I can buy a PS3 for $300 or spend $0 while stealing one from Best Buy. So long as the quality is there (and it would be, since it's a real PS3), I'll stick to theiving and use the extra $300 for something else. Either way, we are taking something which we have no right to because we don't want to spend the money which the applicable business sets for legally owning their goods. But you are almost guaranteed to get in trouble for stealing from Best Buy, whereas there's a good chance you'll get away with buying a counterfeit jersey. Just like you are almost guaranteed to get in trouble for going 100mph over the speed limit, but there's a good chance you'll get away with driving 1mph over the speed limit. Each of the 4 things I mentioned there are technically illegal, but you can get away with 2 of them. Why? Because at this point, those in charge of enforcement have decided that those 2 "crimes" are not egregious enough to warrant legal action in every instance. Law enforcement has better things to worry about than hunting down supposed "criminals" who bought a knockoff baseball cap in Chinatown for $5.
  25. And this is based on? Republicans are generally for less regulation. Less regulation makes it easier to buy and sell counterfeits. I think that's what he was trying to say, although it's a pretty huge generalization, and obviously isn't completely true. But there is a bit of logic to what he was saying.
