This is circa 1970-71. Given the state of the Blackhawks at that time, there's a high probability Sesame Street won this game.  LOL

It's the Virginia Squires.  They played all over the place in VA although mostly out of ODU (Norfolk).  They also played in  Richmond, Hampton,. and Roanoke during their 6 season existence, although they stopped playing in Roanoke after the first couple years I think.  That's definitely their road jersey from 74-75 (home jerseys said "Squires" on it). Venue would be tough to nail down since pics are scarce from that timeframe.

These were worse

in all honesty the first uniform that comes to mind when I see him is Nordiques. I think he technically spent the most time with Quebec, but probably played more games in Ottawa. 

Then again I also vividly remember him on the Ducks, even though that was apparently only one season.

Blue Jackets are like the NHL poster children for player's in the wrong uniform.

I remember hearing something about this.  The new helmets had come in time for the preseason, but there were issues with the new uniforms. It was only for like one or two preseason games. 

My mother is from Queens, NY and always called them "draws."  We were living in Michigan at the time when I started school as a kid, and I got some strange looks from the class when I did a presentation on a desk my Dad and I had built.  

We then relocated back to the East Coast when I was about 11, and then got ridiculed the first time I referred to a Pepsi as "pop" in front of other kids. 

Growing up in a "multi-regional" family was hard.

Some people here in PA pronounce it like that. When I first moved here I was really taken back by it.  That and they pronounce the word "on" as "awn."

Hall however is still really young and will wind up spending far more of his career in a Devils uniform (or other) than he ever will have as an Oiler. 

That uniform fits the bland, wordmark helmet IMO. 

However, I think the 1981 set is beautiful and much more evocative of a bengal tiger theme.
