Second game of the season has Grand Rapids in navy blue (libero in white) vs Columbus in black (libero in red). Both teams' dark jersey has red and yellow/gold numbers. This could have been avoided. Hopefully the league steps in so there is no clash going forward.

Hopefully the 11k is consistent for attendance. Local broadcast was saying a chunk was grade school classes and youth volleyball teams, so I guess we’ll see.
You'd have to imagine any weekend games would draw the best potential crowds. Want to believe Omaha would've got 15K in the house the game been on Friday night or Saturday.

Don't know what's going on with Stadium and Bally, but the rest of this week's games are now streaming on the league YouTube channel.

Good opening match. Atlanta won in 3-2. They announced over 11K in attendance. That's damn good for a Wednesday night in Omaha.
-
PVF league opener. Omaha vs Atlanta. Both teams wearing jerseys not previously seen. Omaha in white (those look cooler than their reds btw) and Atlanta in black.

So PVF debuts tonight. Wish them the best!

Gold is a tertiary color, at best, for the Ravens.
Same could be said about the Vikings. Outside of that color rush uniform, they're a purple and white team with yellow accents.

So CBS doesn't want to fully devote TV time to this league until things get good around late season?

but the blue pants instead wouldn't surprise me
That would be the best looking option IMO. Not a fan of silver pants vs gold pants (or gray vs tan as some would say since Nike doesn't do shiny pants these days).

Niners vs Lions should be a good looking matchup color wise.

Here's PVF's schedule. So far they have broadcast for every game up to early March either being carried by Bally or Stadium. I'm trying to figure out what role CBS has in the broadcast equation.

I have never seen an NFL helmet get cracked before. Was it because of the cold? There's no way modern helmets are cracking so easily without some help.
IIRC a player on the NY Giants had part of their helmet break off in the NFC Championship game at Green Bay (Favre's last game as a Packer). It was another one of those game where the kept showing how cold it was by displaying water instantly freezing in contact with the air.

All the women's leagues want to use the "W" and it's a shame that, as a letter, it's a lot of syllables to add in there.
There's two US based women's pro volleyball leagues starting this year. Neither league has women's/W in it's name. Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) and League One Volleyball (LOVB)

NLL fans on Reddit and message boards think this might be the last year of Panther City
So what is the solution there? Moving to Dallas instead of Ft Worth? Or would a full blown out of market relocation be the most likely scenario?

So the touring model continues? What was the purpose of "placing teams in home markets" if each team only gets one home game? Technically the Cannons may have a second home game if you want to count the game in Connecticut. C'mon Rabil! If the league wasn't truly ready to shift to home cities why put up the charade?

I was a member as well and I remember some schmuck who claims to have started an actual football league he called "American Football League." Everyone called him out on it, but he doubled down and tripled down on the name of the league because he said he never got a cease and desist from the NFL for the name "American Football League" because the NFL was no longer using the name of the league, despite the fact every team from the 1960's American Football League is still in existence today. It was this league:
Will Birmingham play in the American Football League? (birminghamprosports.com)
I mainly remember some lady from KC claiming everybody from the northeast was evil or something like that. Oh and the huge push for the Omaha team to be called the Zombies lol
-
So there calling it the United Football League? I was a member of a message board dedicated to the former UFL called UFLAccess. Maaaan, following the rise and fall of that league was quiet an experience lol
