This was mentioned a while back. The Texans and Panthers series has always been Carolina in white and the Texans in their colors. Bryce Young and CJ Stroud, the top two picks in the draft, will be facing each other. The league will want to showcase that. Could it be a candidate for a primetime slot? This has a good chance of breaking the cycle of the same uniform matchup.

I believe that was me who pointed that out. I was thinking the same thing. This could definitely be a Thursday night game. Hopefully the Panthers wear their normal silver helmet, black jersey, silver pants look, but it will probably be all-black or all-blue now that the blue pants are rumored to be back.

I would almost rather the matchup take place in November at 1pm, increasing the chances that the Panthers look normal, but I'd also rather get something funky from them than see this one played at 1pm in September again.

I’d be fine with the Dolphins pulling a Tampa Bay and giving a previous uniform, in this case the throwback, a facelift.

Update the logos a smidge. Hell, get an orange uniform in the mix again.

I disagree that a team that barely ever wears its regular colored jersey or its throwback colored jersey needs an additional colored jersey in the mix. But I do agree that they would need to update the throwback logo.

The NFL hasn’t been above trend-chasing since before The Swoosh took over. BFBS jerseys were already a thing. Mono was already a thing. The Swoosh has made those things more prominent, but NFL teams try to look trendy just like anybody else.

Too bad “trendy”  in the NFL generally equals absolute garbage.

Also Bryce Young was given a black jersey at the draft, all but guaranteeing Panthers won't switch to blue full time.

They barely ever even wear the blue. Why would they suddenly make it the primary when they don’t even use all three alternate jersey games for it?

Are there any photos out of the players wearing the new helmets? Literally every photo I see they're either holding it or it's not present. Great way to display your uniform. Smh

I said the same thing a while back. So pointless. Instead we see the players making weird poses that they won't ever make on the field.

I think the Texans and Ravens both look pretty good, not perfect. I’d like to see the eagles make a change, but they’re also in the “careful what you wish for” category for me. I can be content with those looks if it means we don’t get a Nike makeover with all sorts of weird unnecessary details that overshadow the good parts.

A Philly rebrand would 100% be all green, all white, all-black.

Teams who play eachother twice a decade. Who cares.

Plus the Broncos use way more orange than the Bears, who use it as nothing more than a trim color aside from their alternates. This is a weak comparison. The Titans and Texans look very much alike when the Titans wear navy combos and they’re in the same division.

That being said, I do agree that a royal blue would work better for them, but I wouldn’t bring the Bears into it.

The Rams did the same thing. The bone jerseys were only supposed to worn with the bone pants but that lasted less than a season.

I guarantee the Cardinals will mix and match.

I totally forgot about that! That gives me more hope that it’s been multiple teams. Heck, even the Bucs in 2020 said they wouldn’t wear pewter pants with the white jersey for some reason, which they ended up wearing three times in the playoffs.

    Mildly relevant:

    Washington Commanders uniform combinations 2022:

    Mono White/Burgundy (including socks): 3

    Mono White/Burgundy (contrasting socks): 1

    Contrasting Jersey/Pants: 10

I'm not sure how relevant this is. The Cardinals specifically referred to each of these monochrome suits as the home, road, and alternate looks and specified the colors of each uniform element:

The Commanders only modeled monochrome as well, but they also kept plain pants for all colors, whereas Arizona has red pants without a stripe, but white ones with a stripe. This shouldn't matter, but I fear that this was on purpose and they will use it as an excuse to stick with the same three combos.

  10. I mocked up the uni matchups for everyone on Arizona's schedule this upcoming season, using the standard home/road looks for each team. I gotta say, these don't look as horrible next to other uniforms, but I still worry about how much white is on the road uniform and how much detail/color will actually be visible on the broadcasts.

  11. Does anyone actually have high hopes for this unveiling? There has been an absurd amount of speculation and anticipation, yet have we heard one thing that suggests this will be a nice clean rebrand and not an overly designed Commanders/Bucs/Titans kind of uniform set? I still don't understand why they seem to be ditching their cardinal red.

If they do use copper they'd be the third team that uses red + a metallic color.

The Niners are red + gold, Tampa are red + pewter. Maybe someone should use red + silver next?

This is why I want them to stick with white and red with black as an accent color. It’s more unique than people realize. There are several red and yellow/metallic teams.
