We've got Commanders at Jets this season. What's the breakdown on team colors actually used in that game?

I don’t think it’s fair to put the Commanders in this category right now. They wore plenty of burgundy last season, aside from the black jersey games. I could see this being white/burgundy vs. green jerseys. Jets didn’t wear any white at home in the second half of the season in 2022.

God forbid we lose 1 (or both) stupid all pewter anthracite games!

I think they also don't want to lose any white-at-home games since the team has become obsessed with the white over pewter look. Pewter jerseys have only been worn once each of the past two seasons, and I would expect that to stay that way.

That’s actually my favorite thing about these. I firmly believe that the main reason why people seem to love them so much now is scarcity. If the Bucs had worn these twice a season for the past two decades, people would be just as tired of them now as they were when they originally moved on from them.

I love the Bucs, and really do genuinely like the creamsicles. But they’re better relegated to the past sans a handful of special occasions.

Twice in one season after a 10 year hiatus wouldn’t make them any less scarce. Why not wear them a couple times to show them off to the fans and increase jersey sales? It wouldn’t hurt to see them again in December rather than just reverting back to the Creamsicle-less days for the final 12+ weeks of the season, at least for this first season.

I agree though that many people think highly of  throwbacks for this reason, which is why I get annoyed when fans beg teams to make throwbacks the primary uniform.

The Buccaneers should be allowed to wear those jerseys every game. They don't need any other jersey.

They can wear them three times but instead are choosing to wear them only once for a non-primetime game, which is why I feel like all this hype is excessive.

Yeah you're probably right, the Cowboys will probably wear their regular white (home? road? I don't know its official designation) jersey. I still predict the Niners wear their alts in that game though -- their first red alt game the last two seasons has been an early season primetime game

This is true. I think we definitely see them either Week 3 on Thursday night vs. the Giants or for this Dallas game.

Falcons taking steps in right direction with black-over-white, white-over-black, tossing gradient in the trash, three throwback games.

Eh, the Falcons seemed to prefer the all-black look again last season. Black on white was only worn for 2/9 home games.

I had a dream on the Cowboys in their navy blue jersey. Guess who the team in white was? Buffalo. The Bills were in their white uniform. But I couldn't tell if it was the throwback white or the regular white. I don't know if that dream is the coming week 15 game, or if it's something else.

This would be cool, but that Week 15 game will almost definitely have the Bills in Color Rush red. Buffalo has worn it the home game before Christmas each of the past five seasons:

    2018 Week 15 vs. DET

    2019 Week 14 vs. BAL
    2020 - Week 14 vs. PIT

    2021 Week 15 vs. CAR

    2022 Week 15 vs. MIA

They do have a number of home prime time games this season though, so maybe we see it Week 8 Thursday night vs. Tampa or Week 10 Monday night vs. Denver.

If I recall correctly, it was at this exact moment (first Color Rush game ever) that football uniform trends began to go downhill.

It could also be argued that the 2019 season was actually a more significant contributing factor with the relaxed sock rules that had every team wearing solid white socks. Color Rush was originally just a Thursday thing.

There's no way the Raiders are wearing the same pants they used to wear. They were much more shimmery in the past.

Also, the kooky shoes are far more of an affront to the Raider aesthetic than any change in pants fabric.

Gray pants have gotten lighter in general. They don’t contrast very well with white jerseys in most cases.

Maybe it's my eyes but the orange used to pop out more. They look muted with Nike.

Reebok jerseys looked shinier in general.  The flat orange Nike jerseys look okay in the sunlight, but by the end of the game when it’s darker out, they look super dull.

  11. Denver switched to orange when Nike took over in 2012, the same year Manning arrived. At the time, this was cool, but since their 2015 Super Bowl, it's been one mediocre QB after another and the team hasn't sniffed the playoffs once.

No one looks at this uniform anymore and associates it with winning, or any positive feelings for that matter. It's severely outdated and the orange jersey has never looked good under Nike. The only Broncos uniform matchups I enjoy anymore are those involving the navy jersey or Color Rush orange. Even if it's an underwhelming redesign, I can't imagine it being anything less appealing than what they have now.

Arizona wears the blacks in the middle of the season. I wouldn't be worried

This is true. The latest they've worn them was Week 14 in 2018. More recently they wore them Week 13 of 2020.

What I am worried about is that they host the Bengals, Ravens, and Falcons in the middle of the season. The black jersey would look horrible against any of those teams.

My hopeful prediction is that they wear it Week 3 vs. Dallas and Week 12 vs. the Rams.

Broncos - Orange Color Rush, Navy Alternate

So this pretty much confirms that the alternate helmet will be worn with the Color Rush jersey? The teaser made it seem like it would be a white helmet. Hopefully it's just an accurate shade of blue and not orange like the Bears...

So is it confirmed that the Seahawks aren’t wearing grey anymore?

Wow, we might finally see them wear white in the desert. And of course the Cardinals will ruin it by wearing black.

At this point, I think the NFL just says "yes" anytime teams ask if they can wear something.

The last thing I can remember them denying was San Fran’s request to wear their white Color Rush in the Super Bowl against KC.
