My all time favorite reveal was Jacksonville International Airport getting out in front of the Jaguars to steal their thunder 🤣

I don't think there was any thunder to steal with this plain-a$$ set of uniforms...

  2. I don't see the Ravens switching to black full time with their main rival already wearing black. Plus the purple is unique and looks better. Still weird that they would include the Color Rush and not regular home, but maybe OBJ chose those three jerseys because they're ❄️/🔥?

AFC South is a contender for most boring uniform division. All 4 teams are primarily blue (depending on how you define teal). Lots of mono looks.

But yeah I think the NFC South would take it if the Panthers commit to all black.

I agree it's boring and most teams don't wear what they should, but I wouldn't say it has more mono than the NFC South.

I wish the Panthers would use this opportunity to clean up their pants and helmet stripes. If they could settle on a consistent stripe application across the helmet, jersey, and pant, their set would go up in the rankings. The helmet and pants reek of the mid 90s but would look fantastic if they cleaned them up.

I agree. While I'm happy they're not doing an overhaul or removing silver, I still wish they were making some tweaks to modernize some of these elements.

  5. I wonder if Carolina has worn the light blue jerseys so infrequently at home for this mismatched color reason, The past several years it has mostly been reserved for road games when the home team wears white.

The Titans Columbia Blue jersey is the best thing (out of an overall meh rebrand), so it sucks we will see it once or twice like the Bengals' orange jersey.  Denver is fine. I think we'll still see a decent number of Bucs and Seahawks games in those uniforms, especially Seattle.

The Bucs, sure, but I still see the Seahawks favoring the all navy look, as well as mixing in the neon greens. Throw another alt in the mix (the throwback, which also features a blue over gray look), and I'm worried the navy over gray will be phased out or may only appear once if at all.

The NFL trying to mimic other sport leagues with these numerous alternate uniforms doesn't work quite as well when there are only 17 games as opposed to 82, 162, etc.

But why would you think the Bucs would no longer wear their primary home look?

They wear white at home primarily and are bringing back the creamsicles, which I assume will replace would-be red jersey games rather than white jersey games.

I expect the home game breakdown to be something like:

    3-4 white jersey games

    1 pewter alternate

    1-2 creamsicles

    2-3 red jerseys

^ Both the Bucs and Seahawks should be wearing those as their primary uniforms at home.

But, I would never miss that all-blue look for Denver (and I am someone who still loves their uniforms for some reason), and there is nothing about that Titans uni that isn't anything other than hard to look at.

Tennessee still has by far the worst set in the NFL.

Compared to the all-navy look, that is a way better look for the Titans. And for the Broncos, their navy jerseys in general are better than orange. I just went with an all-navy photo since they have worn that combo more often the past few years.

Sooner or later, we won’t be able to distinguish what’s a joke and what’s real.

The Bills did this last year with an alternate all-black buffalo wing style uniform and if it had been another day I would've likely believed it.

  10. Of course another team has to hop on board. Never would’ve expected the Broncos, who have two alternates that look better than their primary orange jerseys, and now they will be worn fewer times to make room for this crap.

And Cardinals…let’s remember we have two red and yellow teams already in KC and DC. Let’s not overdo it with the yellow, please. Red, white, and black as a secondary color is perfect, especially now that the Falcons have mostly abandoned red.

The NFL is running out of “cool” things to allow. I thought single digit numbers was stupid. Pretty soon we’ll have dudes running around with fractions and decimals on their backs.

Why so many confused reactions on this? I'm poking fun at these relaxed uniform/jersey number rules. What am I missing?

  12. If Carolina is in fact switching uniforms, they will have NEVER worn a colored jersey with the current uniform set against the Texans, who they host this season. I really hope that game is scheduled in November or December so that Carolina wears black (assuming that is still the default home jersey color).

Nah Carolina’s current look is a few minor tweaks away from being perfect. It’s only “stale” for the same reason the Titans old look got “stale”. They started using wacky combinations that made little to no sense and didn’t fit together properly. Guarantee you we’re going to get some crap similar to the Titans but with dumb random cat scratches on the shoulders instead of a sword blade.

Cardinals I’m interested in, but they have the potential to really easily :censored: that whole thing up. The only two things I’d like to see with them is either go WAY traditional and simplified (think a red and white version of the Raiders) to match how old the franchise is, or go in the other direction and go full desert Cardinal to match the area. Replace white with sand or whatever. I’m sure we’re going to get something that straddles those two, tries to keep everything and please everyone, and therefore won’t please anyone.

I don't think the current look is bad. I just feel that there is more they can do with this color scheme/brand. The generic shoulder striping, for instance, doesn't do quite enough for me anymore. Ideally, I hope they strike a balance between generic striping and tacky over-designed cat scratch marks.

Carolina Panthers Rebrand Concept on Behance

That combo in the top left is actually pretty cool and unique. Reminds me of what the Titans should be wearing (more than once in the past three years). In general, I don't hate this or the idea of them going for a more modern rebrand, as long as it's not too over-the-top and full of monochrome. Their current uniforms have gotten stale and outdated, and they rarely wear the proper combinations anymore.

Denver is not an atrocity (unless they go white over blue, that's the only way).

I suppose it's not as bad as Arizona, but it's still a painfully outdated and unappealing look. The orange jerseys have never looked good with the Nike fabrics. And the navy is their best look by far and never should have been demoted to alternate jersey status.

  16. Of all the teams that badly need rebrands, the Lions, whose fairly recent rebrand was perfectly fine, are one of the only teams in the discussion?

How many more years do we need to look at these Arizona and Denver atrocities?

Colors are free to be trademarked, as stupid as it is. The Home Depot's shade of orange, Tiffany blue, UPS brown, and T-Mobile magenta are all trademarked. I don't believe Luv Ya Blue falls under that category, and it's likely far too late to do anything about it now. At this point, with the Titans using it so sparingly, it's just another shade of powder blue now. I'm sure the Houston rebrand would be well within their rights to use it, though I'd prefer they forge their own path in their rebrand rather than hearkening back to a past that isn't legally their own.

I love the red helmets and would absolutely be in favor of a red-heavy rebrand. No need to change the logo in my book at all; it's one of the best in any sport. They really only need a slight enhancement of what they have to be great, but if they were to go more outlandish with their rebrand, I'd be totally down for something like this: (shameless plug time once again)

This looks awesome, but let's add a navy alternate for when they play the Chiefs, Cardinals, Commanders, etc.
