IMO the Arizona gradient numbers were particularly bad because on the red and blue jerseys, the bottom ~third of the numbers was the exact same color as the jersey IIRC, the NCAA mandated solid numbers on the blue and red jerseys, but the white jersey retained the gradient numbers, because they still technically contrasted with the white background. I'd say you could make a reasonable argument that the BC numbers "contrast" with the white jersey, since they're mostly red (maybe pink if viewed from a distance). They still look awful though.

God I can't wait until this trend dies.

A brief homage to the best Rutgers set in recent memory: their final Nike set which lasted exactly one year. The chain-mail motif was a great modern touch.

Well, for the most part, these logos are cleaner than the set that preceded them, so that's an upgrade. But the monogram really looks off to me. I really wish they could have found a way to update the highlander bear mascot though. Would have been a fun identity.

Sure Maryland has made shoehorning the flag into their uniforms a major facet of their brand identity. Good for them. I just don't think they've ever actually done it in a way that looks good. I actually think the Maryland flag is a pretty good (albeit loud) design and could be used well on a uniform. I think they finally found a good look on the jerseys with shoulder caps: The helmets have always been garish though

Interesting. Is this replacing or coexisting with the marks from their 2014 rebrand? It would be a shame if this is an overhaul--the 2014 brand is fantastic IMO.

Supposedly the wishbone C+A was the baseball cap logo from 1958-1999: https://ucdavisaggies.com/news/2019/3/13/football-bringing-back-an-aggie-classic-the-ca-logo.aspx I dunno. I agree that wishbone Cs are overused, but IMO the A gives the logo some charm and distinguishes it from the pack. Perhaps I'm biased though, because I always thought the horse identity was pretty bad. Side note: There's also a pretty decent script Davis logo that the football team had been making heavy use of from 2015 up until last season. I hope they bring it back at some point this season.

I really like that wishbone CA, but yeesh, the whole athletics brand is a mess. The A-in-C and the Horse-in-C logos clash badly, and they're using a wordmark as their primary, for christ's sake:
