  1. Yeah, the Seahawks endzone was awkward, but I can see maybe what they were going with having the team logos facing each other in the endzones?
  2. Yeah, we have the alternate reality Super Bowls featuring the Conference Championship losers! Right?
  3. Also wasn't the Superdome's name bought up by Mercedes-Benz at this time and the venue was called the Mercedes-Benz Superdome?
  4. This had all the makings of a blowout then the 49ers called Buffalo Wild Wings to sabotage the lighting system I mean a "blackout" gave the Niners new life, but it was too little, too late.
  5. They were, but they had removed any vestiges of the Cowboys (Midfield star, endzone script and design) and probably put them away somewhere and then patched the field with the logos needed for the game with Steelers, Packers scripts, logos and colors (and the new redesigned conference logos) in the endzones and the NFL shield at midfield.
  6. I don't know if we'll see another cold weather outdoor Super Bowl, although we will have that Super Bowl in a few years in the new upcoming Vikings stadium. And I think the logos getting "washed out" was solely because the turf was brand-new as previously stated and they didn't want to damage it (for Super Bowl XLV and XLVIII).
  7. Hopefully, they'll learn from their mistakes and not commit the same missteps twice, because the game was competitive at points and had a relatively exciting finish.
  8. Not to mention the damn seating debacle and that freak-ass winter storm the week of the game. That was a disaster for Dallas, but they'll get another chance to host one; the NFL would be foolish not to at least give AT&T Stadium another shot.
  9. The whole Super Bowl was a debacle for the Cowboys, but that stadium is too big too not get another Super Bowl. The NFL would be foolish to not give Cowboys/AT&T Stadium another Super Bowl to host.
  10. Sometimes pittpack will remove previous versions of a field after he made changes. Look back in the thread's history; you'll see a lot of Photobucket error messages.
  11. Well, after all the SB fields are done, pittpack said he's going to attempt a "what-if" series of Super Bowls featuring the losers of the conference championship games that year. And about the Final Four courts, that's a really cool idea; someone should attempt that.
  12. The Saints finally shed their 'Aints moniker and there was a party like Mardi Gras down in the French Quarter that year.
  13. I think it was just easier for team because their team wordmark was "Arizona Cardinals", I think they just use "Cardinals" nowadays.
  14. It would have been 3rd down from the 6 with :35 seconds to go. It would most likely at least been an overtime game with a field goal if they didn't score on third down. You would've probably seen Pittsburgh maybe running the ball to get towards the center hash to make what would've been the game-tying field goal easier and would've probably prevented Arizona from doing anything with the ball.
  15. Granted, I think Pittsburgh would've had a few more shots, because I don't think the TD throw was on 4th down. That I can remember.
  16. Arizona got shafted. Santonio Holmes didn't get both feet in bounds and since the Force Out Rule was discontinued, the TD shouldn't have counted.
  17. It shows how far the NFC East has fallen; Philly had to overcome two slow starts, there's going to come a time where if they have a slow start, they're not going to come back from it. RGIII can't stay healthy, Eli's throwing the ball haphazardly, and Romo is rusty as heck. What was once perhaps the best division in the NFC is now the doormat for the entire conference...
  18. I was really bitter because the 2007 Dallas Cowboys were probably the best Cowboys roster in my time that I can remember (not counting the 3 Super Bowl titles because I was still growing up at that time), and to lose to Eli Manning, with Romo throwing the ball blindly into triple coverage and Patrick Crayton dropping that sure pass when he was wide open. That was a tough loss to swallow; equally as bad as that 44-6 peppering at the hands of Philly a year later...from 2006 to 2010 was a hard, rough period for me. Then, for the Giants to get lucky two more times...made me extremely pissed off and voila...Eli Manning gets put on the pedestal as my most hated player ever in the NFL. As such, I become giddy as a schoolboy whenever I see him play horribly, because karma is a b-tch.
  19. *glares* Super Bowl XLII...no further comment here. *mutters under his breath* Freaking Eli Manning...you lucky s.o.b...
  20. Devin Hester returned the opening kickoff for a score in the only Super Bowl deluge ever. But, Chicago got all dried up as Peyton was precise and finally got his championship.
  21. Yes, all the teams prior just had their team names in the endzones with no city/state name. Also, this SB was a crock. Seattle should've never taken the damn field. Pittsburgh paid the refs off and Seattle got the pointy fork jammed straight up their butt. At least Seattle was able to exorcise those demons 8 years later; but this was just unfair to Seattle.
  22. Donovan McNabb isn't really known for his on-field play, his wins, and even getting to this Super Bowl; pretty much everyone remembers him for barfing on the field during a drive.
  23. Astrodome was created in 1965, and the first Super Bowl was in 1968. I think Super Bowl IX could've been in the Astrodome instead of Tulane Stadium though since wasn't that a nasty cold Super Bowl? I think the score would've been higher then 16-6.... I know, they picked Tulane Stadium since it wasn't too far away from the Superdome construction area...
  24. The Super Bowl logo for this was pretty cool, giving the whole space vibe since the Super Bowl was in Houston. It's a shame the Astrodome never got a Super Bowl, because I think it could've supported at least one Super Bowl since it was, at one point deemed the "8th Wonder of the World".
