Mike Joy - Dale Jr - Jeff Burton would be a masterclass NASCAR commentary booth. The worst part about Clint and Kevin in the booth was how much Clint kept talking over Kevin and interrupting him. Like how at the end, Harvick was trying to explain something but Bowyer chimed in with the “OMG KEVIN LOOK! LOOK KEVIN!”. I will say, Harvick is very good at explaining the technical side of driving. He has a spot in the booth on any level. Bowyer can kick rocks. Also, Larry Mac was supposed to be in Daytona because he was meant to be the crew chief of an Xfinity team, but once things kept getting delayed he returned to Charlotte.

This Daytona 500 broadcast on FOX has been absolutely brutal. Clint Bowyer and Kevin Harvick are horrendous in the booth. Harvick I can give a pass to as it’s his first 500 call and is doing his best to make something out of nothing with awkward dead air time, but Bowyer is in year 4 and monotone as ever. Bless Mike Joy for being the GOAT. If you made a drinking game out of taking shots every time FOX did in race picture-in-picture, you’d be obliterated by mid stage 2.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see any uniform changes until after this “first” season or even after next season. Currently, I’d rank the UFL uniforms as- 1a. Panthers 1b. Stallions Perfection from both teams 3. Battlehawks Just a smidge under the top two. The helmet logo could be touched up a bit 4. Brahmas Same deal as St Louis and the neon yellow could be toned down to standard yellow 5. Defenders Not a fan of the camo white helmet or the unnecessary need for two different white pants 6. Showboats Not a particularly huge fan of the shoulder yokes of circa 2000. Pants stripes need some blue. 7. Renegades Using the wrong logo on the helmet, the black helmet stripe is wonky. and the thin red line within the jersey numbers looks like :censored: 8. Roughnecks Good lord. What a mess. Should’ve opted to keep the Gamblers identity instead of this monstrosity.

Swapping Carolina for Memphis

The Ravens didn’t even wear the CR this past season, so I’d imagine it’s dead. Which is good, but I will miss it a little bit.

Oh, this one is TOUGH. I want Atlanta, Carolina, Memphis, and Nashville to all be in the league. I’ll vote for Carolina with hopes of alliteration with Cannons as an option
