Patriots and bills never had a problem
To be the devil's advocate, it is a bit of a different situation. Red and blue are pretty common colors in the sports world--for obvious reasons. Something like red and gold less so. Of course, to your point, red and gold is a much different situation than if a team came around wanting to use Brown & Orange or Pewter & Red.

I don't personally take the gold on the draft cap to mean anything definite. Some people like playing up gold for the Cardinals, even though I am in the camp that hardly considers it a team color. Madden graphics, for example, treat the Cardinals as a red and gold team.
EDIT: As an addendum, while I do think there is a way that yellow might look good, I also think that 3 red and gold teams is enough for a 32-team league.

Shameless plug. I think the Cards are one of the few teams that can get away with a complete revamp.

Thanks to everyone who left feedback! I went ahead and narrowed the purple stripe on the black pants, but the inclusion of white seemed out of place. I did revise the home pants, however, to pretty much be what they have today. Numbers on the alt were revised. I'm sticking to my guns on the helmet, however. The number getting "lost" was quite intentional and meant to give a "spooky" vibe reminiscent of "The Raven" poem the team is named after (not Nikespeak I promise). I mostly just really hate the main logo though and didn't feel the shield felt right on the helmet.
Also, here are the Panthers!
For the record, McCaffrey was still on the team when I made these...

Ravens helmet features the same helmet finish as the old Jaguars/new Cardinals. Purple fleck against black base.

Went ahead and lightened the sand color to create some more contrast.

Made my own template for the first time (
stoleborrowed most of the elements for the helmet, though). Let's just get down to it...- 2

Giants and Rams weren't "forced" into anything. They could have gone with non-metallic royal blue helmets in the early 90s like Duke and Kansas did. (Blue Devils had royal blue shells in the late 70s according to Helmet Project). They chose not to.
Kansas State had a custom light gray color in the 80s, so custom colors were available...
Kansas State still uses a Cowboys-esque helmet color and I absolutely love it.

I've been fulfilling my civic duty by disliking every comment I can find on YouTube that claims the Commies' all-black uniform looks good
I can't tell you how many posts I saw on IG that said Thursday night's game was the best uni matchup ever

Full-time GIANTS throwbacks (with dark navy helmet) almost seem inevitable now
Boy I hope you're right. Although I severely doubt it.

It occurred to me with the Bengals pairing their new helmets with their old color rush.....the Bengals have three sets of white pants.

The Bengals aren't the worst uniform on the field.

Not in love with all these, but your work on the Saints and Cowboys is just stunning. I don't know why Nike can't understand it's just that simple to make timeless, tough, and sleek looks. Well done

Dang. I haven't seen the boards this split on a uniform opinion since the Browns made their facemasks brown.

So you're telling me that the Washington Commanders will wear their "alternate" uniforms before they ever wear their primary home uniform in the team's entire history (including Preseason)? This could not have been executed worse.
