    That's a great NCSU update, but I'm not feeling all the shadow details, they aren't necessary for a college but either way it's a great logo. BTW Ren you're Photobucket bandwidth is exceeding. thought I'd give you a head's up.

    Stole the words out of my mouth. They use about 4 too many colours and the striping is inconsistent. They're far from terrible but certainly not the "end all be all" of hockey uniforms. Ya I just don't get the hype around them. Are they terrible? No, but they aren't great either.

    I don't know where people are getting the idea for advertisements. The guys running these awards I'm sure will do this best to give the right people their due diligence. Even if you don't get nominated don't be discouraged and just keep banging out amazing concepts. Good luck to everyone!

    This isn't much of a question about the forum, but more of a question about design. Have any of you got in contact with a team for a concept you created and had that concept become reality? also Do any of you send concepts to the teams yourselves? I've always wondered how this works.

    I meant to make the logo the current colors and maybe make the eye a little different. Not really modernizing i guess sorry for the confusion. Then why are you asking? Can't you do this yourself?

    May I ask what happened with this because TRoy, I could have sworn, asked this 2 or 3 days ago and then just popped up here at the end? I re-posted the question since I wasn't getting a response whether no one knew or because it got caught behind another question. Since I'm really only into hockey I've looked through the European leagues times and times again noticing that the logos and the teams are out of date.

    NHL will expand to 32 teams in the next coming years. The twos teams recieving teams will be Seattle and Quebec City. Both cities have arenas to play in and blatant rivalries. Seattle will start in the Pacific Division. Quebec City will start in the Atlantic Division, Detroit will move to the Central.

    Hey Troy,Appreciate the kind words. I've been drawing since I was in elementary which was a LONG LONG time ago. My grandmother would always tell me I was blessed with an ability & I've always thought of it as so. I have a 15 yr old son who seems to have it as well. I took art in school as soon as it became available simply because I loved to draw. If you have a passion for art I say pursue it! There are so many resources available that can assist you, from video to written tutorials online, books, art classes, etc. Take advantage of these resources & learn as much as you can. Even the most experienced artists are always learning new things that will help them take their work to that next level. Good luck & hope to see artwork from you here sometime!     Ren, how did you become such a good artist? High school classes? Natural talent? Learned from other people? I'm wondering because I would love to be better at art so I could make my own logos and possibly contribute to this thread.
