  1. I think we're just going to get some white/silver inserted into the negative spaces of the Northwestern stripes and maybe a block style number.
  2. I'd love something like this. A helmet with a single bar facemask, famously invented by the Browns.
  3. Mind you in a city 7 am could easily be END of someone's work day as opposed to the beginning and lighting up is probably better than chugging a tall boy or sipping from a flask and stale booze smell bothers me a lot more than weed in public. My only issue on gambling ads is how it's changed the way people talk about sports. I hear a lot more about odds and covering in casual conversation and less about the outcome of the game or the individual performances in themselves. For the record, I feel the same way about fantasy spots. It's a weird hang up to me.
  4. Am I daft, or do those pants have a sheen to them?
  5. George Halas wasn't just the founder of the Bears. He was one of the original 1920 NFL franchisees. In a lot of ways, he helped lay the foundations of the entire League. The Bears' facility in the Northern suburbs is named Halas Hall.
  6. Not a crazy idea given the Titans color scheme.
  7. I think what caused that specific effect with the 1990 change is the addition of another color, especially one that blended into the green cut into the space previous occupied by a sharp green/white cutoff. The process made the stripes, logo, and numbers less bold then they had been in the 80's.
  8. I know this is a popular metaphor, but who the heck boils a frog? A frog is a big enough meal where you'd want to clean the guts out or cut the legs off so you'd probably just bash it against a rock as soon as you caught it. Stuff that gets cooked alive like a lobster just gets tossed into a rolling boil that kills it almost instantly. You have to be a sick puppy to do a slow boil on an animal.
  9. Not bad. Not sure if it's an upgrade but that's pretty good.
  10. That's because its an AWESOME idea.
  11. Still kinda want the Texans to have red numbers like the Color Rush uniform.
  12. Old cut of the jersey. Looks pretty cool but that might just be the Hiroyuki Sanada factor.
  13. The white facemask Vikings helmet would work exceptionally well with the current set especially in US Bank Stadium.
  14. Packers finally going with metallic gold.
  15. I kinda like that chevron pattern. Very 1920's football.
  16. Always fun to see Air Force in that look. I mentioned earlier that growing up we would go to San Diego to visit my grandparents. One of the bonuses was that I got to see West Coast college football. Before most people had ESPN, if you lived East of the Mississippi, the only time you could see UCLA, Air Force, BYU, Oregon, USC was when they played a Big Ten or SEC team or Notre Dame and then always in their white jerseys, If you travelled to the West Coast, it really was like stepping into a completely different sports world.
  17. Genuinely one of the finest films made about the criminal justice system. EDIT: Its used a teaching aid in Law Schools.
  18. I mean no complaints on my end. Something about those uniforms always felt... electric.
