Honestly, that Texas State SMU game was pretty dang good looking. Even though TSU uniforms were a little janky, colors were outstanding. With a few tweaks/cleaning up tx state could look really good IMO

The last time they did it they kept paisley as a little accent, which actually looked very nice. Now it looks ridiculous, which is not what you want for honoring such an important person in their history.

Disappointed Wake took that gate pattern off the shoulder caps, that was one of the classier while still really unique details in a group of (generally) pretty lame/empty modern uniform sets

Yea I’m not vibing with it. I don’t like all the gray, and although the old one was cartoonish it just had more of a college feel. A touch up to the older one would’ve been my course of action

There seems to be a historical precedent for it, and it’s safer than going for a caricature of Scottish guy at this point in time. I’d hardly call it an eyesore, the tartan spices it up pretty nicely imo

I like it! Their last set was pretty bleh, the tartan is an obvious choice but still looks great. Kinda unsure about the monogram, but overall upgrade

I think the logo isn’t bad, but wish it had some color to it. Maybe it’s just the helmet color choice that looks dull? Either way just meh. CLT is dumb as heck though

The same game they debuted those flag jerseys, they wore a helmet with a tortoise shell pattern on it in the first half. Up close it looked EXCELLENT, but from a higher TV angle they looked like plain white helmets which was disappointing. Count me in for them trying that again over more flag design tbh

As much as I love the idea of a coati face logo, I think your coati paw is a lot stronger. They are an EXTREMELY hard animal to duplicate just because they look so odd. If you flip the paw to the primary, which I see that it is already being used a lot more than the face, I think the overall package will be improved. I'd also beef up some of the linework on that face logo as well, but overall another really fun look! IMO coatis are one of the more underappreciated southwestern critters I can think of, glad to see them represented

I have not seen a SINGLE positive thing about it on Twitter Has there ever been an example of a college team rolling back a rebrand? I know there’s a couple pro examples, but budget wise ya gotta think it’s just far less likely for college level

Yea... I don’t like that Virginia set. Unnecessary bevels, unnecessary colors, even the logo on the left itself seems unnecessary. They have such a clean looking brand, if they want a cavalier logo, just add a classy looking one with navy, orange, white, and maybe a little silver shading. This looks like they’re trying way too hard with the pose and darker pallete

I was about to say the same thing, it definitely looks a little odd. Connect it and it'll look much improved

That is an excellent looking set, colors pop and the primary is really well-done. One thing I would do is try to interlock the G and V, but besides that looks great!

First of all, love the school name. It can be really difficult to think of original school names, and you've definitely done that. I think the concept will be really polished if you stick to only two of the colors (IMO red rock and hoodoo orange). If you're planning on doing as many schools as I think you are, having more simplified color schemes for each school will help keep each one more unique. You've also picked a really unique nickname, but looks like you've run into a bit of trouble in the logo for it. Picking a logo base solely off a natural land-form will always been tricky, because it ends up looking really blobbish by the end of tracing linework. Run with the hammer thing, but really try to simplify it down to it's key shapes. As well as this, I'd get rid of the text on your primary or secondary. Make the hammer thing the real focal point of the logo, the text will only clutter it. Personally, I think you really have something to work with with your tertiary, go with it! I know I just threw a lot at you, but it's a good start and it will look even better with a bit more polish! Looking forward to what else you come up with

I need to correct myself, those sycamore leaf logos were UNUSED concepts... that’s absolutely tragic. All of them are much better than the previous and new brand smh

Some of their secondaries from this rebrand that use the sycamore leaf are actually pretty slick, surprised they’ve never attempted to capitalize on it. Lots of potential for a classic looking, unique brand (I get the state-outline is a “classic”, I’ve never been too enamored by it)

Houston and Seattle look extremely similar, St Louis as well
