Hint: He wasn't a professional athlete--if he's who he looks like...
You're right if you think he's Fidel Castro.

The best part is he was a RB at UCLA. I remember a story that when he was given the name after converting his response was, "Do you know where I go to school"?
I thought this was a joke at first. I looked it up and much to my surprise it is not.
Using pro-football-reference, I was able to date this photo to November 17, 1996. Karim Abdul-Jabbar is the ballcarrier, and James Roberson is the defensive lineman on the ground.Wait... what? Maybe you meant to post the version of the Dolphins unis that came right before the Oilers move to Tennessee, but these uniforms were in circulation together for quite some time.
His name is now Abdul-Karim al-Jabbar. he was born Shannon Shah (thank you wikipedia)

I have to point out that if it ends in "fit" and it's made by Reebok it's not usually reliable. CrossFit, TechFit... um there's not much else though.

Another one:
Winnipeg Jets 2.0 vs Dallas Stars in 2012.
It was the Jets first year back and Dallas's second to last year
in those uniforms.

That Jags jersey is definitely better than what they have now.

I know he played baseball but did you know he played BASKETBALL?
(I don't think it was pro basketball though)

Kind of an obscure pick: Cherokee Parks with the Wizards

I think Nike has been a huge downgrade in the NFL. Not so much for the designs. Reebok blew it with a few teams (not as bad as Nike did with the Bucs, but both companies had some duds).
I have a slightly bigger problem with Nike's "stamps"...toilet seat collars, Seattle and Tampa having very "nikefied" designs and the awful Jags helmet are a bit worse then Reebok's over-reliance on piping and side panels. As bad as that was, it did not smack so much of "uniforms are a billboard for manufacturers."
But the big thing for me is how cheap it looks. I really struggle with the general notion that Nike's quality is better. I don't buy replicas and cannot really speak to that. But the sweat boxes, see through pants, mismatched greens and the inability to produce green Eagles jerseys really made me feel that quality took a huge tumble. But I am virtually alone.
Not totally alone! I love Reebok NFL uniforms. I actually stopped buying NFL jerseys around the time Nike started making them, it's unrelated, but I'm glad I stopped.

I'll bet another Wizards fan beat me to it:
(I actually forgot this happened)
Also featuring JJ Barea in his first stint as a Mav (that's not really a wrong uniform for him though.)
Sorry for the double post but it wouldn't let me post 2 for some reason.

Here it is... My guess is it was done by a third party, likely Zephyr. They took lots of NHL logos and made them more animated for use on Baseball caps. Might be an unpopular opinion but I think this would make great shoulder patch.
This should be the shoulder patch.

Unlike all the other Redskins problems I can't pin this on Dan Snyder. I don't think he was even alive when Lombardi died. And yes it has been 24 years since the Redskins last won a super bowl.
I'm starting to think the Redskins are cursed...Did somebody already say this?
I know Vince Lombardi isn't a player really but even as a part time (as in when the season starts) Redskins fan this just seems wrong.
If he had not died of cancer after coaching one year...and had gone on to win several Super Bowls with the Redskins, we may view it differently. Lombardi had full control of the team and stock in the team.
George Allen took over the team and went to the Super Bowl the year after, so it's quite possible that he would have built a legacy in D.C. also.
Definitely cursed
As bad as it's been, the Redskins STILL have as many playoff wins in the last 18 years than "America's Team" the Cowboys! (2 since 1997) Up until last season, the Redskins had the upper hand.
... and you forgot an upset last year on Monday Night football!
-
I loved this uniform, and I think it would be a good base for a new set.
At the very least, bring back this awesome sleeve patch:
That was always a cool patch.
Even more unpopular:
I liked this!

I'm sure somebody's said this already:
Buffaslug vs Gold/Blue Capitals 2006/07
We would appreciate it more if your picture isn't so blurry. I'll help you out.
Going back to the NBA...
2000: Cavs' first and Suns' last
1997: Wizards' first and Magic's last
2002: Sixers' first (script modified) and Spurs' last
1996: Cavs' first and Knicks' last
1995-1997: Sonics vs. Pacers
1995: Grizzlies' first vs. four Timberwolves (last)
1997: Warriors' last and Pistons first
Hey thanks for the clearer pic!
Another one from the NHL:
I think I got the right Kings uni with that matchup. Correct me if I didn't

Not my own opinion, but apparently a lot of people don't like this
Too silly or something.
The only thing that could make this better is if Ben was holding a cheese steak in the other hand.

Baron Davis also played on the Warriors.
Chances are, most "fans" at Oracle last night couldn't tell you who he is.
Probably not.
-
Not only do I like the blue/black stripes on the new Bucks uniform, I think the small bit of blue makes the uniform. Without it, it is a nice and clean uniform but somewhat boring. Just that little splash of blue brightens it up and changes its character into something much more interesting.
I'm starting to warm up to Blue on the Bucks uniforms as well. I think it's nice how they wanted to make the uniform basic without being boring.
-
I'm sure Andrei Kirilenko won't either. on an unrelated note: I really liked those Jazz uniforms.

Of course he can.. He´s Insane .
Really? How can you even read that from what he said?
Really? Hopefully your statement isn't connected with his sexuality.Michael Sam...any NFL uniform is the wrong one.
CFL is better suited for his abilities.

I agree. I think that was one of USC's best jerseys because it was simple without looking like a practice jersey. Totally unlike the UA designs.
