Neither are “Oakland’s identities”. A’s in particular have been around 123 years in 3 cities.
They have been in Oakland longer than either Philadelphia or Kansas City, most people probably don't even know the A's have played anywhere besides Oakland.

Also are there any NFL markets where people DO regularly take the train in? I guess MetLife has those NJ Transit trains from Penn. I've always got the sense though that the NFL in-person clientele is even more car-dependent than the other Big Three pro leagues.

that's not going to happen. The owner of the Miami Dolphins Stephen "I tampered with Tom Brady" Ross hates the MLS and he would have something to say about that if it comes up.
I didn't know there was beef between MLS and the Dolphins owner but there's going to be a lot of money to be made off of this, they might be able to strike a deal. Apple and Adidas played a part in getting Messi and his contract so they could get involved again if needed.

This is huge. Messi will be the best player to ever play in MLS. He's not even a year removed from winning the World Cup. Pretty crazy he's going to the worst team in MLS lol.
They better start playing games at Hard Rock instead of that temporary bleacher stadium.

New Bay Area club unveiled their new brand and its... Bay FC. They didn't even try with this one. Also, its another Navy-heavy team, which adds onto a league that is very dark-color heavy. Not impressed here. The only good thing I can think of right now is the hidden bridge next to the B, but everything else just seems so generic.
Just dreadful, nothing about this logo says Bay Area to me. It'd probably look good for a Baltimore or Birmingham team though.

Nike and Adidas completely switched the top clubs (or at least the original 'Big 4') in the EPL over the last decade. ManUtd and Arsenal still seem like Nike clubs for me. Chelsea and even Liverpool would look more right for me in Adidas.
Adidas does a better job with Arsenal than Man U but yeah I agree they still feel like they should be a Nike team. At least they're not Puma anymore.

Looks like a Wembley knockoff. They kept the massive foul territory from the Coliseum though lol

Especially since they're a Big XII team now, they'll be claiming it as one of theirs.
The UCF fanbase will fit right in with the rest of the annoying Big XII fanbases

that’s exactly what I meant. Neither city is known for rabid baseball fanaticism. He’s another soft guy who’d thrive on the cardinals or Reds or a team like that. Anyone watching him this season would have to question how he’s ever had any success.Imagine thinking that the Dodgers and Cardinals don't have rabid fanbases lol

The Canucks look fine to me, they own blue and green and the orca logo fits their location. Every suggestion on here looks worse then what they currently have.

UCF's entire brand looks like it was created from a Nike catalog.

But wait! It gets worse! If FIFA is actually copying the NFL, this set will continue into the future.

I have to say that I really love the new Man City home shirt. I prefer when City shirts are more white heavy, and this one works really nicely with the classy v-neck. The socks really bug me, though, as they have blue stripes instead of white:
That darker blue color is completely absent from the shirt and only appears as a small panel on the back of the shorts:
The clash shorts are that darker blue color, which may ultimately be the reason the socks feature that color more prominently.
It’s a lovely shade of blue, and I do like it being used for the clash shorts. The women will surely use these shorts instead of white like they did with the maroon shorts this year. The trim not going all the way around the collar really bugs me

Makes sense but also kind of a weird choice with Tijuana's team also being red and black, unless they go more red and yellow than black.
With the Loyal's color scheme sadly appearing to be out of the picture, I wouldn't mind seeing them use the Padres brown and yellow but also add the orange from the 80's.
Alesmith uses these colors on their .394 beer and it looks great

SACRAMENTO STATE HORNETS
DESIGN
- Took the wings or stingers from the logo and used that as the stripe
- Used the same font
HELMET
- Green and white helmet
- Alternate logo on the front bumper and "HORNETS" on the back bumper
JERSEY
- Added the stripes
- Flipped the number color for the home jersey and added a number outline for the away jersey
PANTS
- White and green pants
- Added the stripes
Up next will be Eastern Kentucky. Thanks for looking and as always C&C is greatly appreciated!
Sac State looks fantastic. The switch to white numbers is great. Sac State looks best as a Green/White school with gold accents rather than a Green/Gold school, leave that color scheme for Cal Poly (and Davis but with blue instead of green). The pants could get away with having no stripes but I still like them.
Cant wait for the rest of the FCS California schools.

Is it similar to what Toyota Field have? Those silver posts were included for when the team was trying to get into MLS, so that they could quickly emplace the required seats to keep the stadium up to MLS requirements. By having them there now they could cut down the amount of time required to retrofit the stands.
Yeah, these black posts

The Fiesta Mall site looks like a better location than Glendale to me. It's about a similar distance from Downtown Phoenix but it is closer to Tempe and Scottsdale. Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert are the three largest cities in the Phoenix metro too, aside from Phoenix of course.
That being said I'm not going to advocate for the Coyotes staying in Arizona. But... I don't want them to move to Houston and I doubt the NHL allows them to move to Quebec even though its the right move. So maybe I am advocating for the Coyotes staying in Arizona? Unless Portland gets in on the action or Salt Lake City if they got a new arena.

And so that means Oakland after over 50 years can't identify with those colors and the name? Same with the Dodgers and LA? Giants and SF? Braves and Atlanta?
