These arent seperate teams though, just a division of the MLS team.
Just like a youth organization fields a U23, U18, U16 and a U8 team.
They are separate teams, not separate clubs.
If they wanted to keep it exactly the same you wouldn't see the Austin FC - ATX FC II, Portland Timbers - T2, Philadelphia Union - Union 2, Orlando City - OCB ( which is a laugh as it sounds like OCD), Atlanta United - ATL United 2, Vancouver Whitecaps FC - WFC 2.
Giving them some type of their own persona while still holding ties to their club it would appeal to a wider audience and you may see people following them more.
Austin for starters could of gone with something as simple as A2FC if they wanted the 2 in it or Austin A2tex using the 2 as a Z to pay homage to the Austin Aztex.
It looks boring and looks as though the clubs think the supporters don't know who the senior and 2nd's, 3rds, 4ths teams are.
Either keep it the same or don't, but make it better is what i am saying.

Not a rule. Though the two teams started before MLS Next Pro, the teams and the league were designed primary for the development of MLS teams players. Unlike other leagues this league wasnt created so fans could follow teams or come to games. Although games are open to the public and streamed online for the public to view, the league wasnt designed to be a league promoted to fans or to even make money. It was created so that MLS teams could develop their players who would otherwise warm the MLS benches all season.
Ok, fair enough but you still need to have some sort of cash flow or you'd end up propping it up like the women's.
It's not enough to just have TEAMNAME II or TEAMNAME B etc, there should be a reference to the Senior or Major team but something that let's you know it's not the Senior team.
Examples are New York Red Bulls could be NYRB Toros, Los Angeles FC could be LAFC Golden Stars, Sporting KC could have Sporting Wizards etc.
These would be much more appealing to those fans that do like the NXT.

Because if you are a two team you do one of the following for your identity:
2 (Crew, Cincinnati, Rapids, Dynamo, Minnesota United, St Louis City, Whitecaps Timbers, Atlanta United)
II (Revolution, NYCFC, Union, Toronto, Fire, Inter Miami, Sporing KC, Earthquakes, Galaxy, Red Bulls, Austin)
B (Orlando City)
Own Identity (North Texas SC, Real Monarchs, Tacoma Defiance, Huntsville City)
Havent released Identity yet (Charlotte, LAFC)
Is this a rule?
I understand trying to keep the clubs image similar through it's myriad of teams but some of them look ridiculous.

This reads to me like Roman numerals or, like, the model name for a certain type of Texas Instruments calculator.
Looks terrible.
Looks like Attics FC eye eye, who is the paid lacky that comes up with this garbage?
Why not Austin FC (whatever league they are in )

Looks a little lighter this season, not sure about having your heritage basically the same as what you currently wear?
Don't mind their white either with the slight touches of sky blue and waratah red.2 hours ago, kiwi_canadian said:I see they put the Spire, which influenced the Fed Square and Melbourne Rectangle builds.

Another Super Rugby Pacifica kit, the New South Wales Waratahs:
It's a bit dark to see them properly but did the sky blue have white glints in it or was it the video?

I didn't realize the U.S. populous was the target audience of a South American rugby federation. My bad!
Does their populous know they have a rugby federation?
Even so, do they want the rest of the world asking what their logo is?

I suppose a toucan in the shape of a rugby ball would be a difficult code to crack in some universe
Yeah i guess 99% of the USA would think it's a Gridiron Ball.
If you know what it is because you seen the logo next to it i suppose you could crack the code.

Rugby New York has changed their name... again.
Rugby United New York --> Rugby New York --> Rugby New York Ironworkers
I don't know the backstory or the significance of the change of name to that area but for me Rugby New York should of just become New York Rugby UNION.

New England Free Jacks new kits. Not much has changed really with them.
Wish they would get rid of the side panels, it would look much cleaner

Riddle me this Batman.
How do two goalies from the same team get the win?
Alex Buque and Doug Jamieson from Albany both got a win.
Yet Ryan Hartley got a win and Craig Wende got a loss from the Knighthawks ?

The first of the kit reveals for the upcoming season. The Seattle Seawolves have released their home and away kits. Away kit stays the same but the home kit has changed:
They have dropped the dark/navy blue in favour of black for the home kit. Not a fan of dropping the blue. I think the home kit would be okay if they changed the black to the dark blue.
Yeah it's not a great idea, even dark forest green would have been a better option than BFBS.

if you gave a casual lacrosse fan a list of teams in the NLL and they saw "Panther City" their first response is "where's that?" and when you tell them it's Fort Worth, they will ask you "then why are they not called Fort Worth?"
I'd still say where's that.
There is no other Texas side so until another one popped up TEXAS PANTHERS Lacrosse would of been nice
On 12/3/2022 at 4:25 AM, pluggerplugger1 said:The NLL returns this weekend! I'm super excited for this season, so I thought I'd put a little 2022-23 prediction together.
WEST
San Diego 14-4
Colorado 11-7
Panther City 10-8
Vancouver 8-10
Saskatchewan 8-10
Calgary 6-12
Las Vegas 4-14
EAST
Toronto 13-5
Buffalo 12-6
Halifax 11-7
New York 10-8
Philadelphia 9-9*
Georgia 7-11
Albany 7-11
Rochester 5-13
Colorado edges past San Diego in three games in the West Final, while Toronto sweeps Buffalo in the East Final.
Toronto defeats Colorado in three games for the championship.
On another note, I really hope the league itself is in a good spot. It seems like Nicky Sak did pretty well as commissioner, I hope we see more of the same from Brett Frood.
My predictions
WEST
San Diego
SAS
Vancouver
Colorado
Calgary
Panthers
Las Vegas
EAST
Toronto
Halifax
NY
Philly
Buffalo
Rochester
Georgia
Albany
Halifax for the Title

I think it has more to do with the Olympics as all the countries that are within the UK compete as Team Great Britain. It does make sense on that level... plus starting next year the 7's World Series is getting a dramatic overhaul to align more with the Olympics. They are going to drop the number of events to seven as well as the core teams from 16 to 12. Going to be an interesting season in 2023-24 and I don't think Canada will do well. We may qualify the men and women through the regional qualifying tournaments for the Olympics but I have my doubts we'll qualify through the World Series.
Seems strange to reduce the number when you want more participating teams and events to bring in more revenue and players?

I wonder if they're trying to save money by combining?

I usually like Australia's away kits more than the homes, but this year's garish shade of aqua ruins that, so agreed.
If you look at the history of Australian kits they have usually been more yellow than they currently are for the primary and the secondary is something like a Ken Done painting, but over time they were told to change the yellow tone as it was to similar to Brazil so hence why it's more of an orange-yellow (gold) and the green has some how gone from a robust strong colour to a light shade that the Soccer league likes.
The blue set is what some different sports in Australia have been trialing, see Olympics from the past few times, AFL, NRL, Davis Cup Tennis,.
