Meanwhile, the club have changed the number font, yet again. If you read this thread every year, you may recall I’ve documented all of the changes over the last 5-6 years. They used to keep the same font for 8 to 10 years at a time and now it seems like they change every other year. This year looks like a reimagining of the global adidas font used at the World Cup. I am not a fan.

 

 

Also, the leaked third kit looks to be a beauty with an off white or cream base and dark red trim, including a throwback crest. I am loving the tonal adidas stripes and the single button.

 

 

Overall, I think the reverse Arsenal look is really solid, but my original complaints from the OP remain. They got the kit classifications all wrong this year. The away kit is am abomination and should be canned. They should have an all red home, use the Arsenal kit as away with white shorts if contrast is needed, and keep the beautiful third.

 

This will be one of their worst seasons ever kit-wise.  Two of the three look great, but using white for home and the colors of the away are both poor choices. 

Is the red CL kit still happening then? Or is this Cream kit replacing it?

I do not like this change. Louisville has a nice Cardinal head logo and its font was very distinct (at least the wordmark, I never liked it when applied to numbers). Moving to the full body logo feels very retro, something you’d love to see on a throwback ball cap at the bookstore, but past its time for a main logo. This feels similar to the Maryland change that I discussed a few pages ago.

 

Louisville’s problem isn’t the logo or the wordmark, it’s the hideous way they apply their logos and uniform styles. The on field uniform should use your logo in its intended colors.

 

 

 

Louisville looked best with the classic white helmet, full color logo, stripes, and the drop shadow block numbers. They later released a version with the modern number font. I’d take that now, if they’d at least fix the helmet and stripes.

 

The Bridgewater era unis are great, but I don't mind the current set with the Oregon-esque wings, they just need to put the full color logo on the helmets, and then it should be good. That and probably stick with more traditional combos (i.e. w/r/w. w/w/r)

The new one definitely fits closer to the throwback itself, as this was in current school colors. The AMES helmet though should get more use, especially on the red helmet. Would be *chefs kiss*

The Cards will mix and match because while the absence of striping on the red is apparent, they’ll eventually do it this season I bet. I could even see them going as far as these combos (Helmet/Jersey/Pants/Socks):

Red - C-, upgrade from before, but seems too little for what the rest is

White - A-, beautiful. Stunning, work of art

Black - B-, I wanted a sand uniform

Not in season tourney related, but Nike needs to bring back the Christmas uniforms. The more recent ones too that were the team color/cream, or the vintage style ones.

I'm assuming it'll be an afternoon drop. It's 10 CST and in Arizona it should be about 8/9 am, so it may be a little early for them to do it now.

Montreal's home kit leaked. The back is plain blue. It's not bad, but I wish the stripe pattern on the front was a little more prevalent. It's going to look lost on TV.

I don’t like the grey numbers on the red jersey, I think it’s too dark and doesn’t stick out enough, it’s the same problems the Lions have with their homes. 
i would prefer a red face mask over an orange one, but it’s not the end of the world,

The actual Under Armour jerseys aren't expected until at least summer, but they are releasing these tomorrow at 10:00 AM EST. I'm expecting they'll probably be around the same price as the USFL jerseys. The #54 jerseys will have Johnson on the back. I think that causes a problem though, because then you need to present the helmet, pants and etc at some point, which would need to be before the draft, because just presenting the jerseys is going to leave a lot of what we want to see

OBJ was announced today and they used the black jersey for the press conference. The team then posted mockups of his name on the black, white and color rush but not on the home purple. Could be nothing but odd nonetheless 

Ravens need to do Black/Purple at home and White/Purple on the road. IT could be that, but who actually knows.
