Should I consider doing another team befitting of Vegas?
-
I figured the name fits the blandness that is sin city? Much like elvis in his late years or Siegfried and Roy
-
They play in the NFC West complimenting the 49ers, the Cardinals, the Chargers, the Sun and the Rams.

Time for Wave 3 and we're going to begin with a bang or rather a roar as in terms of expansion a 2nd team in Chicago was ready in the works... in fact plans were to revive the Chicago Tigers and play them in the AFC but the Chicago Bears or rather the letches that destroyed Chicago aka the Halas clan objected massively to this and threatened a massive federal lawsuit that would of put an end to the third wave of expansions.
However an offer from Nevada changed their minds as the team decided to move westward to the bright lights...
LAS VEGAS TIGERSShowing off what Black and Gold can REALLY do as a broad swipe to the Steelers and at the same time half adopting the stripes of the Bengals.... Tiger Gold and Vegas Silver compliment Black and White as the Tigers play in the multi billion dollar Tiger's Den stadium.

And before we eventually get to Wave 3.... which will be coming back after I update the college branding in the other threads, Dallas decided to look at Atlanta and figured let's make a silver that we can use as our white...
This one might be a hit or miss.

Dwayne the Rock Johnson would find a way to rip us off if some of us including me would work for them.

And so the lawsuit was settled and Jim Irsay was ousted as owner... the new owner decided that Bombers was an eyesore considering the outcry and all... and so a new identity was needed, one made of steel, hot blood and fortitude of the midwest.
The Indy Bombers are now known as the....
INDIANAPOLIS IRONLooking at the NFC.... a backbone of black and grey was absent and the Iron fills that niche.... no logo but that's because the stripe represents the I.

Right, right just wanting to check. Indy Ravens didn't sound right in my head.
-
Would it be easier if I was to rebrand the Bombers as the Ravens? Just asking a question to you guys.

Wait didn’t you say that a nuclear bomb wiped out a city? Wouldn’t Bombers be in poor taste?
Not if you was desperate for that midstate money money.... -
Also they were a difficult team to adjust because mostly incomplete.... I might change in the future but because 40 is usually the cap for most leagues, the last 8 teams will be expansions for bonus content as this will be a complete kind of thread for some people to opt out if they want.
I'll be focusing back on the College series when this is done though. -
Finally the last team of the wave 2 expansions and the one that caused the biggest trouble of all.... because it feels incomplete.
INDIANAPOLIS BOMBERSJim Irsay came into the NFL expecting to buy the Baltimore Colts for dirt cheap because the team had struggled to make a winning season for years and was hoping to move the team to Indianapolis which would of caused a lot of issues... the NFL responded by giving him an expansion team and decided to create the Indy Bombers.
SEVERAL problems came into play... the only division open to them was a very tough NFC North that was traditionally bound by integrity and seeing a new team muscle their way in caused other teams to accuse the 4 teams of gatekeeping.... they were only JUST accepted in despite playing for 20 years.
Irsay just wanted the Colts, not an expansion team so he basically NOPED out of owning the Bombers and giving it to several people whilst he was focused on other projects like the Pacers
The team has been stuck in a 2000s limbo for 20 years because of a lawsuit.- 1

And I wouldn't want to make it just boring you know... also shame on you for calling me a nut.

And now we move onto team 39.... and football returns to Jacksonville!
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARSFootball does in fact return to Jacksonville and intelligently run football at that and not being swindled by :censored:ing indian americans that call themselves Khans ((I'm looking at you Shahid, you and that drug taking moron of a son named Tony)) but owners that actually give a :censored: about the team especially when they go on deep runs in the playoffs. ((I mean REALLY))
The success of the 2017 AFC Championship game against the Patriots was the catalyst for what many consider these Jags to be a top tier contendership team in the AFC and they will eventually win a Super Bowl like they should of won in 2017 but the Philadelphia Eagles were stronger that year and deserved too.- 1

Next up in the expansion wave 2... is the greatest show on turf.
ST LOUIS STALLIONSThe Stallions made history by going from the worst in their introduction season to winning the Super Bowl against the Houston Oilers the very next year.... shrewed trades, good draft AND excellent coaching made St Louis into a super bowl winning city and heck there's no interfering Stan Kronke because he's fighting against the Davis family too much to not give a :censored:.
-
And now Wave 2 begins.
"ahem"
In the late 90's after the NFL survived several recessional phases.... the time felt came for 4 more cities to get franchises which was something the teams agreed to.... the timeline was to be 1998 the announcement and 2001 the introduction but one event caused a delay in everything and that was a Midwestern town named Raccoon City was wiped off the map via a nuclear missile causing the entire world to pause and mourn the tragic loss of life.... around 100,000 or so.
This paused the expansion plans for a whole year thus making 1999 the implementation but an event at the Colts was the biggest cause of the acceleration of the expansion...
Jim Irsay bought the Baltimore Colts for dirt cheap and wanted to relocate to Indianapolis but the NFL said no saying that the Colts were staying in Baltimore... well that and the city voted for that bill.
So to satisfy all the requirements, Irsay was given an expansion team and sent that to Indianapolis... the Colts and their history stayed in Baltimore.
ANYWAY
For the first time in the NFL since Los Angeles there was going to be a 2nd team in a city and the location was going to be in North Carolina in particular Raleigh ((RALEIGH!!!)) ..... please welcome.
CAROLINA PANTHERSThe Carolina Panthers had a late start because of the NFL's agreement with the AFL but that didn't deter them since this time they weren't a traditionally bound team although their original owner Jerry Richardson still went out the same way as he did.... bloody racist.
These Panthers were Silver but as some Panthers fans know.... they have that BLUE and they don't properly USE It.
-
This was inspired by the idea of what if the whalers were an nfl team and was taken as a joke post.
But I might make them an actual expansion team if anyone interested?

So what’s gonna happen to the NBA Grizzlies? Is it gonna be a NY Giants Situation or do they just stay in Vancouver? Or new name entirely?
Stay in Vancouver but as a new name that suits the city. -
Wave 1 is over, the expansion that takes place in the early 90's which would of been where Carolina and Jacksonville came in yields in 4 teams that were leftovers from the old AFL.
Wave 2 coming up will essentially be the late 90's where the Texans would of come in as well as the Browns relocation to Baltimore to become the Ravens which then would of opened up a expansion slot where the new Cleveland Browns team assumes the identity of the old team there and something I wish the Tennessee Titans would do to give the Oilers back to Houston but they are skinflints.
So expect the following...
CAROLINA
JACKSONVILLE
ST LOUISand...
INDIANAPOLIS -
The last team of Wave 1 and I've saved the team that essentially carried the old World Football League but here they were reduced to being ball carriers to the AFL's Miami Dolphins who were the dominant team at the time and essentially are 6 time Super Bowl champs because of the 5 year streak.
This however did not deter them from trying to usurp and acquired 3 of their best players in a massive signing boost to try and clinch their own AFL championship.... and yet fell in the final hurdle against the Oakland Raiders.... TWICE. This team was owned by John Basset as he sold his controlling share to another owner before trying again with the Bandits and yeah that went smoothly...
Well until this team tried to register their name to which it was denied so they had to change their name.... twice. Finally at the big unveiling of the new uniforms, everything went smoothly UNTIL the reveal of said uniforms where one simple mistake gave the team the most infamous sports botch in history for the....
MEMPHIS GRIZZLIESThe dinguses in charge of the uniforms made a mistripe that literally gave them the reputation monkier of the Memphis Mistripes... originally their uniforms were straight up expys of the Browns and the Browns weren't happy at all forcing the uniforms to change and then the mistripe happened and they were like Oh.
They play in the NFC South against the Chiefs, the Vulcans and the Bucs.- 1
