  1. For the "minimalistic" argument I would point to the Cardinals
  2. I agree with this take. The primary blue and white jerseys with only silver pants would be perfect for the Lions. The issue is that there's stripeless blue and white pants that bring the entire thing down (not to mention the BFBS uniform)
  3. Only 2 alternate games? I'm disappointed. Would've loved this again
  4. Wearing the intentionally mismatched navy helmets with them was even worse. The navy helmets imply direct throwback, but that's not happening with the white socks.
  5. The navy helmet should be worn with every uniform in this set. Burn the white helmet, it's completely unnecessary
  6. I think your link's broken - I assume you wanted to show something like this tbh you still can't really see the pants stripes on this one either
  7. It somewhat worked in 2022 when the Commies wore burgundy pants/white socks It absolutely did not last year with the Commies in all white. I have a sinking feeling that they'll either be in all white or burgundy leggings for this season's matchup.
  8. For the Penguins I probably would've kept the yellow triangle for the away jersey. Never personally been a fan of yellow home jerseys in a dark-at-home system, but still a cool concept.
  9. I think Carolina has serviceable uniforms, they're just horrifically mismanaged: A full-time road jersey with a nickname on it and red helmets is bush league, but that's not really the fault of the design - slap the primary logo on that jersey, wear it with white helmets, and I think that's a solid look. Of course, if they really wanted to fix things, they'd bring back the original uniforms (they wore the home version in the 2023 playoffs before inexplicably retiring them for the inferior modernized version that they had replaced). Nashville is boring. I'd say bottom half of the league, but not a tire fire. Sort of where you are with CBJ. Anaheim hasn't even played in their new design yet, I'll hold off on that. But I will say I'm not that impressed so far and I'm waiting for the inevitable orange helmets on the road which they'll be allowed to wear every game because no one else has orange helmets. Please fire whoever works at the NHL who approved unlimited colored helmets on the road. '
  10. I'd say that only counts halfway -- the Panthers simply moved to a new uniform template (with a slight pants redesign), not a new design altogether. A matchup between these two designs won't ever be rare because of Super Bowl XXXVIII
  11. Sean Payton is also who I'd blame for the Broncos all the sudden abandoning their navy sock discipline in the final year of that set. All previous Broncos coaches (even Nathaniel Hackett) enforced proper navy socks with white pants. Payton was coach of the Saints for the past decade as they gradually phased out all sock/pants combos except for black leggings and white leggings. At this point, the gold pants might as well be an alternate with how infrequently they're worn.
  12. Honestly not the worst uniforms of all time, they're just clearly inferior to the originals. I just think every subtle change was for the worse.
  13. Not the worst list, except for the "overrated retro look" tier. At the very least that tier fits the criteria for this thread. What changes would you make to the uniforms in the second tier?
  14. Yeah, my issue with the Texans has a lot to do with the direction they went with their colors. I'm extremely disappointed that they chose to double down on navy blue. I was hoping that they'd take the popularity of their red jersey and helmet and become a primarily red team with navy accents. Instead the primaries look colorless with a horrible number font and the alternates look even worse.
  15. More like EFCS- Existing for Clout's Sake
  16. I went to Imgur, right clicked the image, copied the image address, and pasted it into the "Insert image from URL" box.
  17. The problem is that the red socks now stand out too much to me since there aren't red numbers to balance them out. The Texans really everything up with the numbers imo.
  18. Guess I'm the only one who still hates the Texans new uniforms. Darkening the navy and adding more of it was a complete blunder. The numbers are significantly worse in navy with red trim and that new font. Maybe I'll come around on them later, but right now I still can't stand them.
  19. I'd say my top 10 would be: 1a. Rangers 1b. Habs 3. Hawks 4. Bruins (non-centennial) 5. Flames 6. Wings 7. Oilers 8. Sabres 9. Leafs 10. Penguins As you said, the league looks pretty good right now. Only downright bad-looking teams imo would be the Capitals and Blue Jackets.
  20. I still consider same color pants and socks to be "yoga pants" regardless of pant stripes. The stripes make it marginally better, but not by that much. This is the only pant stripe that completely cancels out the yoga pants effect because it's so ridiculously wide.
  21. The only source I saw about the green in Brazil stuff was GUD. And as said above, they still have the Eagles in midnight green for that game
  22. When I see this Jets design, I think of two things: Namath and the Butt Fumble. Darnold played only one season with this design. He played two seasons with the one the Jets just retired.
