New Oregon set on the way. The video describes some as futuristic while others are throwback inspired. The video also says they’ll be worn for the next three years.

the tweet is sent from Washington, the state. guess they had to be closer to their fathers, but I find it odd they didn't tweet from eugene or even beaverton.

Is anybody else receiving an error message when they try to open the forums on Chrome? This is what I get:

I'm able to go around this by opening an Incognito window, but this issue persists even when I cleared my cache on the non-Incognito window. I don't think my AdBlock causes this issue, as I experience the same thing on non-Incognito Chrome on my phone, which doesn't have AdBlock.

I'm a weirdo in that I think "word" helmets in HS and college are cool.  I like the Gators, UCLA, the ILLINOIS , et al.  There's just something refreshingly "amateur" about it that warms my heart.

The worst helmets in HS or NCAA are any that use a "paw print" logo, which seems to be the default for low-budget high school programs named after something with paws.  When in Jr High, if we played one of those teams (and we played at least 3 teams that used the same stupid paw every year), I always thought their cheerleaders looked stupid with paw prints painted on their faces.  Why would you want to look like some animal just ran across your face?

Clemson is the only team who I think should really have a paw print logo.

Good point. I made these before I even realized the wordmark had been tweaked, so I would envision that an "H" on the helmet would match the wordmark. Still not sold on the H but I'm pretty sure it won't be just the logo because it's been said there will be three helmets.

Do you have a source for this? I researched a good bit for the original post and didn't find anything stating this.

per sportslogos.net "Additionally, the Texans have never stated they’re moving away from Deep Steel Blue, as some people on social media believe. Dougherty simply said they would not see the exact uniforms they wore in their Wild Card win over the Cleveland Browns again." i guess he could have ment we wouldnt ever have a throwback to the prior jerseys but i initially read it as they would see the combo again.

  6. my photoshop was bugging me about scratch disks for the past 3 weeks after i had got burnt out. finally was able to create the concepts & made adjustments to the bills & titans.

If we're talking modern times, I seem to recall Miami having alternate green jerseys in the latter part of the '90s alongside their orange primaries.

EDIT: yep, they did. Jarrett Payton circa 1997:

Fake afteredit: now that I think about it, Northwestern may have also had alternate jerseys during that timeframe, as well. It would have been around the time of Darnell Autry and Damien Anderson if they did, but I don't feel like looking right now...

they had switched to black jerseys for almost the entirety of the 1990's

I wanted to say that the black alt isn't bad, but it reminds me of the 0-16 season

But apparently the Lions never wore black during that season?

    Weird

they were supposed to bring back the black jerseys for 2016 but were never featured on Thursday night that year, them & Washington were the only ones to never wear their color rush jerseys as everybody else either A: was on Thursday night between 2016-17, or B: redesigned their uniforms after 2018, (there were 3 uniform redesigned from 2014-2017 being Tampa, Cleveland, and Detroit)

Patriotic for a team named for revolutionary-era patriots to wear the colors of the "red coats" that they were fighting against?  More treasonous if you ask me (which you didn't) (and no, I'm not suggesting that any players get hanged for treason).  Not every colonial soldier wore blue, especially since many were essentially wearing tattered rags, but red is distinctly British.  And no, there's not green eagles or navy bears, but when the team is named for a very specific human that wore a uniform (or at least battled against humans in uniforms) then the colors should be more representative.   Also their logo at the time wore a blue coat - that should definitely be an indicator that their jersey color was mismatched.

The Patriots should never have been in red, from their founding until the '90s.

    kinda ironic
